\#\#\# UX TALKS
**Talk 1: Align or Fail: When Brand Meets UX**
[Mario Restrepo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/mario-restrepo/), Creative Director
Every interaction shape perception and tells a brand story, whether intended or not.
In this talk, we explore why UX is the space where brand promises are either proven or broken, and why, in the age of AI, alignment between brand and user experience has become a strategic imperative.
Drawing on real-world examples, this talk reframes UX designers as brand storytellers, and UX deciders and stakeholders as guardians of trust. It also introduces an **AI-driven Brand Sentiment Analysis workflow**, showing how teams can translate user signals into actionable insights, and design experiences that don’t just function, but reinforce how a brand is felt, remembered, and believed.
**Talk 2: The UX evolution: thriving in the age of intelligent systems**
[David Grunewald](https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidgrunewald/), Founder of Pluginto.ai , AI-Strategist
AI is fundamentally changing how UX professionals work, but it's amplifying our capabilities, not replacing them.
This 45-minute session explores what's actually happening in 2026. You'll see real implementations from banking, healthcare, and other sectors: proactive systems that anticipate needs, conversational interfaces that adapt to individual patterns, and hyper-personalisation at scale.
We'll examine **four trends reshaping UX practice and, more importantly, what they mean for your daily work**. What's being automated? What's gaining value? And what are the five essential skills that set you apart in an AI-augmented world?
You'll leave with clarity on how to evolve your practice and confidence that your human expertise remains your competitive advantage.

Workflow Automation with AI in the Construction Industry
**Workflow automation with AI in the construction industry**
***What if every incoming request in a construction company could automatically turn into the right work order... without emails, copy-paste or spreadsheets in between?***
During this **[Ixor](www.ixor.be)** TechTalk we’ll explore how AI and multi-agent systems can streamline day-to-day workflows in the construction industry.
We use a case study from **[Benogroup](https://www.benogroup.be/)** as the starting point and show how we moved from a manual flow to an AI-supported one, with support from Innoviris.
We’re combining a concrete business case with a look under the hood of the tech:
**Use case: workflow automation at Benogroup (with support from Innoviris)**
* **[Ivan De Broyer](https://be.linkedin.com/in/ivan-de-broyer/nl)** (CEO Benogroup) walks you through a very familiar scenario: an offer comes in, internal teams need a work order, and today much of that work still happens manually.
* He’ll share how they translated this pain point into an AI project, what the new AI-driven workflow looks like, and what changed for the teams in practice (increase speed, reduce errors, enable coordination and compliance).
**Architecture & learnings: multi-agent systems by Ixor**
Ixor's AI Engineer, **[Sien Nuyens](https://be.linkedin.com/in/sien-nuyens-6475b0232/en)**, explains how we built the solution using the LangGraph ecosystem.
* You’ll hear what we learned compared to earlier experiments, for example with LibreChat.
* How we decided what to automate versus what to redesign in the process itself, and why the human side (ownership, trust, handovers) is just as important as the technical one.
**This Tech Talk is ideal for:**
* Operations and project managers in construction companies who want to reduce manual follow-up
* Digital leads and innovation managers exploring where AI can safely support existing workflows
* Founders and managers of SMEs who want a concrete view on 'AI for my business'
* Anyone curious how agentic AI and multi-agent systems can be applied to real-life processes with clear before/after impact

Atelier210 - Science & Cocktails #44 (science + concert)
On 26.02.2026 we visit Atelier 210 in Etterbeek for the
**Science & Cocktails #44**
**Lendert Gelens + Noisy Nuns (be)**
The idea is to explore the more alternative art scene of Brussels.
We’ll kick things off with a cozy Thursday evening event:
Cocktail in hand and surrounded by friends, we’ll experience a live science experiment designed to spark some philosophical thoughts — followed by a concert if you feel like sticking around a bit longer.
tickets: 10€ (included a cocktail or a mocktail) to buy from the event page:

**Life without a blueprint (Lendert Gelens, PhD VUB): Lessons from frog eggs**
Life is more than DNA. Every living cell is a bustling, self-organizing system where countless molecules cooperate without a master plan. In our lab, we explore this mystery by taking frog eggs apart and watching their molecular “soup” come alive again — forming nuclei, dividing, and even building simple cell-like structures. By combining experiments with physical modeling and computer simulations, we uncover some of the hidden rules that let life build itself and adapt to changing environments. Such work forces us to think differently about life’s origins and what it takes for matter to become living. What makes something alive?
**Noisy Nuns (be)**
Noisy Nuns are two women sweating behind their keyboards and drums, combining raw energy with incisive melodies.
They have both cut their teeth in the Belgian rock scene, working on projects such as Moaning Cities, Von Dead, SOROR, Dario Mars... and decided, with Noisy Nuns, to create a more personal project, giving free rein to their instincts.

* There is sometimes a waiting list.

**A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:**
*In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.*
*Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.*
*I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.*
*In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.*
**THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON SATURDAY!**

Omshana Gathering: Seeds of Connection
**About Event**
As winter begins to lift, a new energy is stirring. On **March 1st**, we gather at the Shanti Dôme to honor this transition—moving from the quiet of the inner world back toward the warmth of human connection.
This gathering is a living room for the soul. We’ve designed a flow that moves in waves, guiding us from our inner world into the heart of the community:
* **The Ritual of Opening:** We begin by grounding ourselves in the beauty of the Dôme. With a cup of ceremonial cacao as our companion, we’ll quiet the outside noise and listen to what is ready to grow within us this season.
* **The Shared Resonance:** From silence, we move into a collective vibration. Guided by our **Architect of Sound**, we will weave a living chorus together. You will receive your own unique thread of sound—a personalized "sonic instruction"—that contributes to a larger, powerful harmony.
* **The Art of Being Seen:** This is our core practice for the afternoon—a fluid dance between presence and curiosity. Within the room, you will navigate a landscape of **Anchors** and **Travelers**. It is an intuitive journey of following your attraction, crossing paths with others, and discovering the stories waiting beneath the surface.
* **The Time to Shine:** Finally, the structure dissolves completely. The floor is yours to mingle, follow up on a spark of conversation, or simply enjoy the company of a community that values authenticity over small talk.
Come as you are. Bring your curiosity. Let’s see what grows.
***
** Journey Timeline**
*Please note: We begin at 15:00 sharp to honor the collective flow.*

Oscar International Nominee: SIRAT at the Gateway Film Center
Join us as we get together to see SIRAT, an Oscar-nominated Best International Film from Spain that follows a father, accompanied by his son, goes looking for his missing daughter in North Africa. Here’s a description, trailer and our plan for this event:
DESCRIPTION: A father, accompanied by his son arrive at a rave deep in the mountains of southern Morocco while searching for his daughter who vanished months ago at one of these endless, sleepless parties. As their search continues, the journey forces them to confront their own limits. The film is directed by Oliver Laxe and stars Sergi Lopez, Bruno Nunez Arjona and Richard Bellamy.
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ww-IXHXvS70
BUZZ & ACCLAIM: SIRAT has already won numerous awards, including 4 at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, along with the Chicago, Montclair and Toronto International Film Festivals! It also earned a whopping 11 nominations at the 40th Goya Awards, including Best Film and Director, and was nominated for Best International Feature Film and Best Sound at this year’s Academy Awards. The film is earning a stellar 92% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes which calls it “an unforgettable exercise in tension” and “a brutal reminder that the journey can be more important than the destination.”
PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing and will confirm/announce details as the date gets closer. Once showtime is confirmed, advance purchase (via GFC website preferred) is advised! Once you have your ticket, please list your seat number in the Comments section of this event.
PARKING: Close, convenient parking is available in the nearby garage (located between 9th and 11th, just off High St). Bring your ticket with you and have it validated at the theater and for $2, you’re covered for the night!
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association:
They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online

Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations.
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that.
We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus.
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play.
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders…
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords…
IMPORTANT:
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for.
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
Building Agents with Microsoft Foundry
We will show a variety of methods for building agents that run in Microsoft Foundry. This covers the different types of agents: Prompt, Multi, and Hosted, as well as the development lifecycle using evals and traces.
