FIJNSTOFMETERS / GELUIDSMETERS / DISPLAYS voor Sensor.Community
INFLUENCAIR - INFLUENCAIR - INFLUENCAIR
Afhankelijk van de interesse vergaderen vandaag over:
1. De opgewaardeerde luchtkwaliteit display (fijnstof), nu met web-interface, met opvolging voor 32 locaties met elk 4 sensoren, met interface naar project Telraam (verkeerstellingen). Dit is eigen ontwikkeling van InfluencAir, en suggesties voor aanpassingen & verbeteringen zijn mogelijk. De source van de software is public domain (GNU GPL V3) en is gepubliceerd op Github (displayPM_32x4)
2. Er kunnen in deze sessie stand-alone displays van 53cm lang worden gebouwd. Het materiaal daarvoor wordt ter beschikking gesteld voor een bijdrage van 40 euro per display.
3. Een doorontwikkeling van deze display resulteerde recent in een kleine LCD display voor gebruik thuis, met dezelfde mogelijkheden. Deze LCD display zal ook kunnen worden gebouwd, en het materiaal daarvoor wordt ter beschikking gesteld voor een bijdrage van 20 euro per display.
4. Natuurlijk kan je ook een (gebouwde & geteste) fijnstofmeter met SDS011 en BME280 meenemen uit deze sessie. De prijs hiervoor is 45 euro.
5. Dit is ook een voorbereidende vergadering over de DNMS: de achtergrond geluidsmeter van het Sensor.Community project. Indien hier interesse voor is, kan dit in groep worden gestart. Gelieve mij vooraf een bericht te sturen indien de DNMS je ding is !!!
6. Idem voor een fijnstofmeter rond de SEN55, i.p.v. de SDS011. De voordelen van zo'n meter zijn dat naast de PM2,5/PM10 en Temperatuur/Vochtigheid/Luchtdruk ook nog de PM1/PM4 en de VOS/NOx waarden worden gemeten. Ook hier vooraf een bericht sturen indien dit je interesse opwekt.
7. Mensen die een Mosquitto server willen opzetten, gekoppeld aan een database, voor opslag en uitlezen van de metingen van de nieuwe meter beschreven in punt 6 zijn ook altijd welkom ! Ook hier vooraf een bericht, a.u.b.

Set in an alternative world, you play as navigators discovering the different seas, accumulating fame and fortune.

**Pirates & Corsairs** - This expansion, for 2 to 5 players, introduces 2 rival factions: The Corsairs of the Crown and The Pirates of the Brotherhood.
Everyone starts out as a Corsair, forcibly recruited by the Crown, and can turn Pirate during the game by joining the Brotherhood. ***"Maracaibo***, *a strategy game for 1-4 players by Alexander Pfister, is set in the Caribbean during the 17th century. The players try to increase their influence in three nations in four rounds with a play time of 40 minutes per player*.
*The players sail on a round course through the Caribbean, e.g., you have city tiles where you are able to perform various actions or deliver goods to. One special feature is an implemented quest mode over more and various tiles, which tells the player, who chase after it, a little story.*

Dinosaur Museum Visit - Guided Tour
Hi there sprouts 😊🌱
As a Rrroaaaaring Saturday afternoon activity, we propose a guided visit to the ‘Dinosaur Museum’ 🦖 (Museum of Natural History) in Brussels on the **9th** of **May**. You will receive a tour around the permanent collections of the museum where we will take a journey through different prehistoric times. This tour will focus on the impressive dinosaurs 🦕 and other amazing fossil highlights that are on display in the museum. Depending on the mood and vibe, we can also include a special tour around the other exhibits, focusing on queer animals in the natural world 🌈. So bring along your walking shoes and prepare your best dinosaur-related questions for this trip. Everyone is welcome to join but to keep it fun for everyone, places are restricted to 20 people max.
PRACTICAL INFO: **Make sure to only subscribe if you can attend the event**. As usual we ask for a **5 EUR fee** for this activity ***on top of the entrance fee of the museum (to be payed at the museum entrance individually)***. or a 40 EUR membership fee for multiple activities throughout the year. “Hair, Paper, Water… is loosely structured and akin to a series of snapshots of Thị Hậu’s daily life. This is enhanced by the use of an old Bolex 16mm camera, which the directors found by chance, and which gives the film the impression of a series of home videos. The grainy texture perfectly fits with the lush green surroundings of the jungle and the oft-pouring rain that gives the film a calming rhythm. There are some waypoints in the film, often punctuated by another word or set of words spoken and repeated: flood season, the acacia harvest, market visits. Highlights are the more personal stories, such as Thị Hậu remembering how she sold her hair several times to generate some income, or talking about a dream in which her mother told her to go back to the cave. As Hair, Paper, Water… gently floats from moment to moment (water plays a big role in the lives of the Rục and the film), a certain sadness hangs over the film; everything we watch may, and probably will, vanish. Given that this is a film of moments and memory, it doesn’t work its way to some sort of hopeful crescendo, which leaves the viewer with the feeling that in the not-too-distant future all traces of the Rục will be gone. One can hope that his grandmother’s teachings stay with the young boy, but given the fate of his parents, this seems an idle hope. As such, Hair, Paper, Water… will be all that lasts as a memory of a culture, and for that we have to thank Truong and Graux.”

In this in Person event, Jord, Pinja and Joost invite fellow facilitators to look beyond networking as polite conversation and explore what it really takes to do something together.

**Small, specialized, agentic – One Year of Fine-tuning Local Vision LLMs.**

Local LLMs are getting better each year. The smaller the model, the more impressive. While the big labs' closed models still win as generalists, we've been working on fine-tuning our own specialist for enterprise document processing on top of an open-weights base, adapted for use in our custom agent harness and for visual layout reasoning. Recent iterations come within spitting distance of much larger models at a fraction of the size and token usage. In this talk, we share why and how we did it, as well as what it means for how we build efficient agentic systems at Klassif.ai even with hosted models.
**Why NLP is More Alive Than Ever in the Age of LLMs.**

The hype surrounding Generative AI has led many to believe that traditional NLP is a thing of the past, but the reality on the ground is different. Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations.
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that.
We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus.
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.

1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for.
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1
week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve.
