Campaign-In-An-Hour: AI Tools for Animal Advocates
Facebook event page: [https://www.facebook.com/events/880280588046613](https://www.facebook.com/events/880280588046613)
Ready to put AI to work for animals -- ethically, creatively, and with purpose -- and turn ideas into effective strategies you can actually use? Brains and heartlights on! Here's your spark-to-strategy way to go about it.
Mike Wigmore of Equip AI, a long-time vegan and animal activist, brings a rare and powerful combination to the table: Deep AI and technical expertise paired with serious creative juice.
Mike doesn’t just understand the tools -- he knows how to play with them, push them, and shape them into strategies that advocates can actually use.
This workshop is designed like a Lab experiment: We’re taking an idea, testing it, refining it, and extracting real-world advocacy outputs -- all in real time.
No abstract tech talk -- Mike will guide participants through the full lifecycle of an animal rights campaign, showing how AI can support each phase:
• from initial hypothesis (campaign idea)
• to research and context-building
• to setting up a context-aware AI project
• to rapidly generating usable, resonating campaign materials and strategies
Together, we’ll build a comprehensive animal rights campaign within an hour or so, centred on a real issue…which shall be revealed on the day of!
The resulting strategy will be something you can tweak, adapt, and build upon for other issues, long after the workshop ends.
What’s on the Lab bench:
Tool Tour
\* a fast-paced run-through of several AI tools -- what they do, how they differ, and where they’re most useful for advocacy
\* Mike will show how to prompt effectively -- not just what to ask, but how to guide AI toward sharper, more nuanced results
Live Campaign Build
\* using a real-world animal advocacy issue, Mike will demonstrate how AI can help design a multi-pronged campaign that speaks to different audiences and motivations -- logic, compassion, ethics, environmental impact, health, and more
✨ No advanced tech knowledge required!
✨ Ideal for activists, creatives, organizers, campaigners, and curious humans
✨ A more hands-on follow-up session is planned for a future date
Animals need us to be nimble, strategic, and creative -- and AI can give advocates a powerful edge over their non-vegan counterparts. Used thoughtfully, these tools can help us move faster, test ideas sooner, and turn good intentions into coordinated action.
Supercharge your animal advocacy -- without replacing your heart, values, voice...or brain!
“Don’t panic -- the robots work for the animals.”

Theatre Passe Muraille: Through the Eyes of God (World Premiere)
{ SOLD-OUT }
*“A searing tale of a Mother’s devotion, defiance, and survival.”*
Two decades after **Anusree Roy** wrote her hit play *Pyaasa*, she returns to **Theatre Passe Muraille** with a powerful sequel — *Through the Eyes of God*.
Tickets are **$40 each**. *Reserve your own* at the link below. Venue only has 40 seats!!
Chaya, the protagonist at the centre of the original play, is now a spirited young woman and mother, who is arrested for the desperate act of stealing rice to feed her young daughter. But soon she faces a far greater horror: her child, Krishna, has been trafficked to Delhi. Driven by primal love, she embarks on a gut-wrenching journey through the underbelly of a broken system, where every lead is a gamble and every choice is impossible. ***Through the Eyes of God*** is a piercingly emotional and sharply critical journey that asks: How far will a mother go to protect her child?

Intro to Shaders in Unity
This meetup is a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop focused on building shaders in Unity using Shader Graph. Instead of slides or theory-heavy lectures, we'll build real shaders together step-by-step.
The format is structured but interactive. You'll watch a quick demo, then build each shader yourself with guidance. By the end, you'll have created multiple shaders you can immediately use in your own projects—and understand how to make more.
**What to Expect:**
* Build 4–5 complete shaders from scratch
* Color tints, snow accumulation, scrolling water, dissolve effects, and more
* No prior shader experience required
* Checkpoint files provided if you fall behind
* Resources for continued learning
All experience levels are welcome. Whether you've never opened Shader Graph or just want to fill gaps in your knowledge, this is a supportive space to learn by doing.
**Food and drinks provided. Join us to learn, build, and level up your shader skills.**

Casual Boardgames - make friends, then beat them in games
Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations.
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that.
We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus.
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn.
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play.
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders…
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords…
IMPORTANT:
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for.
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
Discount Tuesday: GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON’T DIE at Marcus Crosswoods!
Join us for a CMG Discount Tuesday event to see the hilarious, action-packed and absolutely-bonkers-looking sci-fi-action-comedy, GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON’T DIE! The film follows a man from the future who recruits diners at an LA restaurant to help combat rogue AI. Here’s a description, trailer and our plan for this event:
GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON’T DIE: A man from the future arrives at a diner in Los Angeles where he must recruit the precise combination of disgruntled patrons to join him on a one-night quest to save the world from the terminal threat of a rogue artificial intelligence. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean series) and stars Sam Rockwell, Haley Lu Richardson, Michael Peña, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, Tom Taylor, and Juno Temple.
TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkFW7BZyqkI
EARLY BUZZ AND REVIEWS: Early reviews have been stellar with the film earning a 94% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes! “It offers laughs, thrills, and it’s a thinker; you will not be disappointed.” It’s a “laugh-filled yet incredibly dark and poignant fever dream that pleads for a safer AI tomorrow” and director Gore Verbinski's “command over utter chaos is nothing short of marvelous!”
PLAN: Please purchase your ticket for the 6:20pm showing and meet in the bar area between 5:45 and 6:00pm! A smaller theater so advance ticket purchase as soon as possible is advised! (If we fill it up, we can sometimes persuade them to move it to a larger theater.) One you have yours, please list your seat number in the Comments below.
Should be a fun one, Dan
