Codex Community Meetup
Hello everyone!
We're excited to announce **Vienna's first official** **Codex Community Meetup**, co-hosted with **Vienna AI Engineering** on Monday, April 27!
For this meetup we are returning to **Greentube** who will generously host us at their HQ on **Wiedner Hauptstraße**.
Catch up on the latest Codex updates, see live demos, and learn best practices from power users.
Hear directly from the top teams of the [Codex Hackathon Vienna](https://luma.com/18ivobmb?tk=RIkbHV) about what they built, see live demos of their projects, and learn best practices from power users of Codex.
Whether you’re already using Codex or simply curious about coding agents, this is your chance to connect with peers and explore how AI is transforming the way we build software.
⚠️ **Important: [The official registration is on Luma only](https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering) and spots are limited there to 150.** In order to avoid double-bookings, we'll restrict
the RSVPs here only to the Organizer Team.
👉 Everybody else please **[register on Luma](https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering)**
The venue check-in will use the Luma guestlist, so please make sure
you're registered there.
FYI, since some of our partners like OpenAI use Luma to coordinate events worldwide, we must also use it when we make branded events like this one. So in order to make sure you are directly informed about this type of events, make sure you **[subscribe to our Luma calendar](https://luma.com/vienna-ai-engineering)**. The Meetup platform has been having a lot of hiccups in recent years, and if Luma turns out to be better, we might even switch to it as our main platform permanently.

I train @ My Pace - with Jason
-Outdoor Functional Training for All Fitness Levels-
Join us as we combine healthy, balanced movement with fun, gamified ideas to give you our unique FUNctional training! And in case that doesn’t really tell you what to expect, just think short intervals of exercise combined together in a playful and interactive way to help you strengthen your body in a sustainable way while allowing you to meet new people (and often even forget how hard you’re working out).
As a reminder for those nervous about their fitness level: Everything we do, we do with all fitness levels in mind; so the exercises are always adjustable to your level and you’re always strongly encouraged to take it at your own pace - I mean, we’re not called My Pace for nothing!
How to find us: We meet and train behind the calisthenics workout station on the Zirkuswiese of the Prater. Here a link to the location on Google maps: https://maps.app.goo.gl/QdRPEaYTiavZbmVW7
Cost: In the interest of inclusivity, we've decided to make our sessions donations based here, so you're invited to pay what you can afford. If that actually makes you more uncomfortable and doesn't make it easier to come, know that we've received donations from €2 to €20 and they all made us very happy, because our primary goal is to get people moving and to show them it can be fun all in all. The money is secondary.
One other thing that’s useful to know:
- In the case of bad weather, we do have a back-up location that will protect us from the rain. Should we need to move, we will change the location of this event here. Please feel free to check back here before any event where you suspect bad weather or, even better, simply get in touch with us! We’re available via WhatsApp message or email.

Introduction to Argentine Tango
Argentine tango has nothing to do with the tango you've seen on TV.
No dramatic dips. No fixed choreography to memorize. No performance.
Real tango is a conversation. Two people, close together, listening to each other through touch and weight and breath.
The leader proposes. The follower responds. The dance emerges from that - improvised, alive, completely in the present moment.
It is one of the most direct ways I know to practice presence.
In this introductory evening, you'll learn the basic structure of the embrace and a few simple steps.
More importantly, you'll begin to feel what tango is actually about: connection. To your own body first, then to another person.
You don't need a partner. You don't need dance experience.
You need comfortable shoes with a smooth sole and an open mind.
I've been dancing tango for years, and I come to it from the same place I come to everything else I teach: the body knows things the mind doesn't. Tango is one of the ways we learn to trust that.
Partners are rotated during class so you practice with everyone.
Teachers and organizers are Sara & Nemanja, competitive dancers and teachers, who discovered their love for tango, and now they want to share it!
For Students under 28, there is a discount.
Innate Dance Class
**What is Innate Dance?**
Innate Dance is a joyful approach to movement, which invites deeper embodiment and self-connection through butoh inspired movement, Noguchi Taiso exercises, the Seki Method, somatic attention and imagination. We shake it out, breaking up stuck energy held in the body, and explore new movement possibilities from a place of alignment and sensitivity. Thanks to our open awareness we can be surprised by lesser-known parts of ourselves and come to appreciate our innate wisdom in movement. Through exercises, explorations and improvisations we build trust in the body that knows how it would like to move and express itself, and when we follow our innate dance, it just feels good! There is also time and space to dance freely, to enjoy the music in your body and to let go! Ultimately, it's about feeling more 'in' our body and grounding joy.
**When? Where? How much?**
**Mondays 19:30-21:00**
in Studio 2, Tanz\*Hotel, Zirkusgasse 35, 1020 Wien
Try out € 16\,\- \| One class drop\-in € 21\,\- \| Student € 10\,\- \| 5 x class pass €95\,\- \| 1 x class pass for rest of semester € 224\,\- \(or €16/class\)
**Who teaches the course?**
Jess is a dancer and psychotherapist (humanistic and integrative), who loves shaping classes that offer the space to explore the many facets of being human. Sometimes this learning involves physically embodying non-humans like trees, fish and wind, so we can get out of our limited-human-thinking-mind and into the bigger wisdom available through imagination and our body. At other times it's about dancing textures, sensations or taking on the energy of parts of ourselves so we can know them better. Jess has danced all her life and has been exploring butoh dance for the past eleven years alongside her psychotherapeutic practice. She is co-author of *The Seki Method - Basics* (now available to buy online via website), is a Seki Method Facilitator, and was a 2024 student at the Im_Flieger Schule researching dance and healing.

Talk 1: **Centralising and automating your API contracts using a schema registry**
No matter if REST or message-based, your APIs need to change. Describing the API using OpenAPI or some other specification language is good. But how to make sure all affected parties have the same version of the API spec and that spec changes don't happen before all API users are ready? Let's discover how schema registries can bring order and automation in this. We'll take a look at how you can use them with Java and why the choice of the schema specification language matters.
**About Marián Varga**
Marián Varga has worked with Java for more than 20 years. He wrote the book Mastering RESTful Web Services with Java and keeps helping software development projects get their integrations right.
Talk 2: **OpenJDK, the JCP and JUGs: contributing to Java to become a beyond senior expert**
The Java technology evolves through 3 main pillars: open source, standards and community participation.
This interactive presentation will show what happens behind the scenes in those processes, how you can participate, and practical ways you can use Java's evolution to build technical expertise, and advance your career beyond the senior level.
In this session you will:
\- Understand the secret Java Champions use to build technical expertise
\- How to think like Java's main architect\, and build impact in your project and beyond
\- How to use Java's pillars to build a growth spiral for your own career
**About Bruno Souza**
Since 1995, [Bruno Souza](https://www.linkedin.com/in/brjavaman/) has been helping Java developers advance their careers and work on exciting projects. A recognized Java Evangelist and Java Champion, as well as a board member of the Java Community Process, Bruno founded and leads SouJava, the Brazilian Java Users Society. In his book, “Developer Career Masterplan,” Bruno shares insights on career development for senior developers, topics he further explores in his Code4.life project.

ABOUT OPENCLAW
Forget simple Q&A. We are entering the era of proactive AI. OpenClaw (formerly ClawdBot) is an open source framework that closes the gap between generative AI and real operational execution. AI agents operate inside everyday messengers such as Telegram or WhatsApp and autonomously perform complex business workflows. This event provides a deep dive into the architecture, capabilities, risks, and future implications of agentic systems that will fundamentally reshape how companies operate.
WHY OPENCLAW
OpenClaw represents a major milestone. For the first time, AI truly acts as a proactive assistant. It does not just respond to commands. It informs you, prepares briefings, and executes tasks autonomously within familiar interfaces such as WhatsApp or Telegram. This marks the transition from passive tools to operational AI agents.
