Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Our membership is 313,000 strong. Members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 14,650 clubs in 126 countries that make up our global network of meeting locations.
The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses, and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish but must also communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams, and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmaster's journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedbackâand accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.

Creative Writing Budapest
**This week's venue: Beer People \| LĂĄzĂĄr utca 7\, Budapest 1065**
We hold a bi-weekly workshop to encourage creative writing where we share pieces of creative writing and solicit feedback from the other attendees.
Some members also use the forum to find others with whom to collaborate, edit work, and/or brainstorm plot, themes, settings, and so forth. And from time to time, we participate in competitions, recite and/or offer material for events organized by other groups.
At the moment there is no prompt for this particular meetup.
Instead, writers are invited to submit something they have (or are working on) or to craft a short story specifically for the event.
Of course, there's no pressure to submit something. Many participants are interested in hearing ideas, questioning the authors, and examining style and technique. Often, we explore other published works as well.
The submission guidelines are as follows:
1. limit the piece to 850 words (to give enough time for any other submissions being read at the event);
2. make the text available (though you can read it aloud) for the other attendees. Many authors bring a few printed copies, others post their work in the comments of the meetup;
3. have a question in mind for the group about the submission; and,
4. If offering something from a longer work, be prepared to give a little bit of background first.

**Why I Built Pairflow and What It Taught Me About Building with LLMs**
with Gergely Hodicska aka FelhĆ, Co-founder of CraftHub
I built Pairflow, a workflow orchestration tool, to improve how effectively I work with LLMs and to reserve my attention for the parts where it adds the most value. Iâll show how my approach to planning, delegation, testing, and code review evolved, what actually worked, and the challenges I have yet to solve clearly. The focus is not on specific models or tools, but on the mental models and first principles you can use to improve how you work with LLM-assisted development. Iâll also share the hard-earned lessons that came from this continuous experimentation.
**AI-native development: What actually changed in my workflow**
with Gyula Halmos, Staff AI Product Manager @Craft Docs Ltd, co-maintainer of [Craft Agents](https://github.com/lukilabs/craft-agents-oss)
No frameworks, no architecture diagrams. Just an honest account of using AI agents as a primary development interface for the past year. What I delegate now that I never would have before. What I stopped delegating after it burned me. How debugging, code review, and planning shifted â and the mental model changes that took longer than the tooling changes.

Hobby Projects to Green Production Systems: The Engineerâs Professional Journey.
How does a developer move from hobby projects and university assignments to building **production systems that are reliable, scalable, and environmentally responsible**?
In this **lightning talk and storytelling discussion**, we explore the transition from experimental coding to professional software engineering. Through short, focused talks and conversation, weâll look at what it takes to turn ideas and side projects into **real-world applications designed for sustainable delivery**.
During the discussion we will explore:
* The transition from **hobby coding to professional engineering**
* Lessons learned when moving from prototypes to **production-grade systems**
* Building and scaling **engineering teams in an international environment**
* Integrating **sustainability and efficiency into software delivery**
* Opportunities for developers to grow within **diverse engineering communities**
If you are interested in expanding your network, working in diverse engineering teams, or exploring opportunities in sustainable software development, this session will offer practical insights and inspiration.
Join us to hear real stories from engineers building systems and communities right here in Budapest.
The Platonic Representation Hypothesis
Humans can often move naturally between perception and language: we can look at something and describe it, or read something and form a mental picture. In machine learning, though, models for language and vision are usually trained separately, so it is easy to assume that they learn entirely different internal representations.
The Platonic Representation Hypothesis argues that this may not be true, and presents evidence that different models can converge toward similar underlying representations. In this meetup, we will walk through the paper, unpack its main ideas and results, and discuss the possible implications for how we think about intelligence, multimodal models, and the structure of learned representations.
