Fantastic Anatomy Wednesday
Fantastic Anatomy Wednesday
### **Fantastic Anatomy: Special Wednesday Class** For all of you who asked for this workshop on a different day (it happens regularly on Tuesdays) I added this special one-day Wednesday class :) In this workshop, we will explore and celebrate the human body in all its beautiful complexity — and then let our imagination transform it. Together, we will observe the body with curiosity and appreciation, and then reimagine it through colour and fantasy. This workshop is an invitation to experience the body not only as anatomy, but as a living, poetic vessel that carries us through life. In this class, we will explore bones, how to paint them and how to make some 'fantastic' connections. Using watercolour techniques that embrace fluidity and transparency, we’ll experiment with water, stains, textures, and layering. This class includes an amazing mini movement exercise to connect with and discover our body before we start painting it. (Surprise, surprise!) ✨ No previous painting experience needed. Gentle guidance provided throughout. To receive the registration form and full details, please contact: 📩 **hola.berlinartclub@gmail.com** **When:** Wednesday 22 April From 6 to 7.30 PM **Where:** Friedrichshain, Berlin (You will receive the exact address by e-mail) **Price:** Single class 25€ / Paypal & Bank Transfer **Material:** You will need a watercolour set + watercolour paper + brushes. Drawing Cafe [#17] Coffee & Sketching in Berlin
We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Main aim is to socialize while we draw. There will be plenty of time to talk and get to know each other. We have to mention that this event is suitable for all levels. Many have started to draw in our event actually. **Structure** A. Warmup Phase: We pose to each other for 1 minute. B. Main Phase: We pose to each other for 10 minutes. C. Showcase Phase: We show some of the drawings we did to each other. **Who We Are** Creative Sessions is an art events group located in Berlin. **Is it Free?** The event is free of charge. It is advisable to get a drink though. This is a cafe, we need to have at least half of the people on each table with a drink. They accept only cash and most hot drinks cost from 2.50 to 3.50. **How to help or donate?** The event is provided for free but many people help this be a regular thing. We also need people to volunteer and help for minor tasks like the serving of the drinks or cleaning up. Just send us a message. If you want to donate and keep this event from happening, via Paypal to the host (Miltos) : https://ko-fi.com/miltosthings/ **Art Materials?** Bring your own art materials. **Our Instagram Profile** Follow us on instagram @icreativesessions Use the hashtag #icreativesessions on your post description there to find out drawings from the event!

Plaster Painting Workshop: Texture & Tension
Plaster Painting Workshop: Texture & Tension
Beginner-friendly plaster & pigment workshop exploring texture, layering, and sculptural painting. **About the Workshop** Texture & Tension is a contemporary abstract art workshop focused on working with plaster, pigment, and layered surfaces. Rather than copying a finished image, participants explore how material, pressure, and restraint shape an artwork. You'll begin with small experimental surfaces to understand how plaster behaves — how thickness, carving, scraping, and layering create tension in a composition. From there, you'll move to your final canvas and develop your own abstract piece. The workshop is guided but open-ended, allowing each participant to discover their own visual language through material exploration. Expect a calm studio environment with focused making, quiet music, and natural light. No prior experience is required. **What This Workshop Is (and Isn't)** V Open to complete beginners V Focused on contemporary abstraction V Guided, but not step-by-step imitation V Calm, serious studio atmosphere × Not a paint & wine night × Not decorative crafting × Not about "talent" **What It Feels Like** You'll begin by experimenting with plaster and pigment on small test surfaces, discovering how thickness, texture, and pressure change the result. Then you'll move to your final canvas. You'll layer. You'll carve. You'll subtract. You'll decide when to stop. The room stays focused and steady. Music low. Natural light. Hands moving. You don't need to know what you're making in advance. The surface will guide you. **Workshop Structure** Material Exploration Test plaster textures, palette knife techniques, and pigment mixing. Surface Construction Build raised areas, embed material, and create depth. Subtraction & Tension Scrape back. Carve lines. Reveal lower layers. Learn how restraint creates strength. A Moment to Pause We close with a short silent viewing. You'll see how differently everyone approached the same material. There is no critique. Only observation. What You'll Leave With • One textured abstract artwork on canvas • Experience working with plaster and pigment • A deeper understanding of texture in contemporary abstraction
