There are no rules, no pressure — **just bring your own materials**, draw whatever you feel like, and enjoy the company of fellow creatives. Every session, we propose a theme to spark your inspiration. Напередодні Великодня запрошуємо вас доторкнутися до давньої традиції. Розпис писанок, крапанок, дряпанок і крашанок у давнину робили не лише на Великдень, а й як оберіг для багатьох важливих подій у житті. Тому символіка орнаментів має глибокий архаїчний зміст, про який ви дізнаєтеся під час майстер-класу, а також створите власний унікальний дизайн. Цієї суботи о 16:00 ми запрошуємо вас посидіти при свічках і медитативно розписати кілька яєць у цій багатовіковій техніці. Розпис виконується на сирих яйцях, а після завершення майстер-класу вміст яйця видувається, щоб ваш дизайн залишився з вами надовго як декоративний елемент. The decoration of **pysanky, krapanky, dryapanky, and krashanky** was historically done not only for Easter but also as protective symbols for important moments in life. The symbolism of these patterns carries deep, ancient meaning, which you will learn about during the workshop while creating your own unique design. This Saturday at 16:00 we invite you to sit together by candlelight and slowly, meditatively decorate several eggs using this centuries-old technique. This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.

The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills.
