Weekly screenings from a large archive of many of the most significant, yet seldom seen and rarely accessible cinematic masterpieces in the history of film - from its earliest beginnings to the present day. Screenings are in original language, if English, or original language with English subtitles. Films are selected democratically on the inspiration of a brief pre-screening discussion. The selected title is typically a "neglected gem" that most of us discover together for the first time. Individual taste is not a criterion and all participants are expected to put the interests of the group as a whole above personal preference or prejudice. In this sense, the emphasis is on openness, exploration, and surprise. Each screening is followed by an in-depth group discussion, led and moderated by the curator. Seeing the Subject & Controlling the Image **Extended Photography Workshop** Date: Saturday, 07 March (07.03.2026) Start: 14:00 Duration: approx. 4 hours Location\*\*:\*\* Vienna (exact meeting point shared after booking) This workshop is created for **early-stage photographers and people who are just starting out**. I have designed it as a **kickstart to your photography journey**, helping you build solid foundations early on so you don’t hit a creative plateau after learning only classic rules of photography. The workshop is beginner-friendly and assumes **no deep technical knowledge**. At the same time starting with basics, we will be building foundation that will help you become even better than some of the professionals. We’ll start with the fundamentals of exposure and camera control, then move into composition and subject-focused photography. The goal is not just to know *how* to set your camera, but to understand **why you make certain choices** and how they support the image. Many beginners shoot from where they stand, reacting to scenes instead of observing them.
