Where are the turnips?
Where are the turnips?
Are tomatoes destroying the planet? Join me to find out. Depending on attendees preferences this event will take either a more hands on approach to the diversity and quality catastrophe that we see in shops regarding our beloved vegetables, or a more chill attitude. Economic or social aspects can be covered, again depending on the democratic preferences of the attendees. If it wouldn't be for the depressing landscape of the situation it would be a fun event. This way the most suited style is Gothic! 🧛‍♂️
Naked Minds: Life Audit
Naked Minds: Life Audit
**Naked Minds: Life Audit** **See where you truly stand & decide what’s next** Launch price: 399 CZK (regular price: 1,499 CZK) You need to register and buy [Tickets here](https://www.tixtree.com/e/life-audit-see-where-you-stand-dab2b4801eb5) Most people don’t feel stuck because they lack motivation. They feel stuck because they never clearly see where they actually are. Life Audit is a structured evening designed to help you pause and take an honest look at your current reality. Where do you truly stand right now? In your work. Your relationships. Your energy. Your direction. You won’t be pushed to “reinvent your life.” You will **see clearly. Choose consciously.** No hype. No gurus. No forced positivity. **Just clarity, ownership, and a next step that makes sense.** **WHAT THIS EVENT IS ABOUT** Your life moves in the direction of what you repeatedly choose — consciously or not. At Life Audit, you will: * Evaluate where you currently stand across the key areas of your life * Identify what feels aligned — and what doesn’t * Gain clarity on what is working and what is draining you * Define what you actually want next * Create a simple, realistic path forward This is not about pressure. It’s about awareness that leads to better decisions. **WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH** * A clear snapshot of your current life * Honest insight into your reality * A defined next direction * Concrete action steps tailored to you * Shared momentum from people who take growth seriously You won’t leave “inspired.” You’ll leave clear. This is about implementation, not information. **HOW IT FEELS** Grounded. Honest. Clear. Like stepping back and seeing your life from above — without judgment, without drama. **See clearly. Choose consciously.** No pressure. No shame. Just clarity and forward motion. **WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR** This is for you if you: * Want clarity about where you stand * Feel slightly off-track or drifting * Are ready to stop postponing decisions * Want growth that fits real life * Prefer grounded structure over motivation hype If you’re ready to stop drifting and start choosing your path … this is for you. **WHAT THIS IS … AND ISN’T** This is not a motivational talk. No yelling. No toxic positivity. No “just try harder.” Life Audit is a structured Naked Minds experience designed to help you see your life clearly — and move forward intentionally.

Open philosophical discussion in the heart of Prague
Open philosophical discussion in the heart of Prague
Welcome to the international CafÊ Philo in Prague. We meet every first Saturday of the month in the cosy [CafÊ Millème](https://store11473398.ecwid.com) in the center of Prague. We choose a participant randomly, by lottery, who then has the privilege to determine the topic of our discussion. We will reflect, ponder and exchange arguments until our brains are on fire. Philosophy isn't just something for universities, it is a way to open your mind to new thoughts and questions. No application is necessary, there is no entrance fee and there are no prerequisites for participating, except curiosity and respect for other people. We meet from 17:15 until 18:45 to follow together the white rabbit into the wonderland of philosophy... More information about me under this [link](https://sophonautik.ch/english/).

We mostly focus on novels and longer works, but short stories are welcome, as well. You can submit anything you want feedback on in any genre. Current word limit for submissions is 4,000 words. Send your submissions by 13:30 the Thursday before the meeting (or we have a grace period during which you can submit a lower limit of 2,500 words if you submit by midnight Thursday evening). Also, if you don't have time to read through everyone's submissions, still join the meeting! We know that busy schedules don't always make finding reading time easy. To submit, use the Dropbox folder. If you don't have access to it, send sonyalakadosch@yahoo.com your e-mail address so I can add you. Looking forward to seeing everyone there! My number in case of any confusion the day of the meeting is 737 118 530 - or on Facebook: Sonya Lano (https://www.facebook.com/sonya.lano) DROPBOX INFO: * add new submissions for the next meeting in the " submissions" folder for the meeting date. Put your name at the beginning of the file name (for example: "Sonya Somewhere in the Dark") * When providing written feedback (not required, but deeply welcome), save the file as a separate document on your device, then mark your changes/ feedback in the saved file. After you're finished, put the file in the "Feedback" folder under the folder for the meeting date and then under the person the feedback is for (e.g. "For Sonya"). * The submissions folder will be replaced within a week after the meeting has taken place. Feedback will be deleted within 2 months after the meeting, so if you need it longer than that, make sure to copy it to your own disk.

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!
