Have you ever wanted to act in a short film? Or direct and produce your own? This production meeting marks the beginning of our new 2-month filmmaking challenge. Whether you are completely new to filmmaking or already experienced, this is the moment where projects are born, teams are formed, and ideas begin their journey from the page to the screen. You now two months to develop, shoot and deliver your film with the support of the community. All completed films will be screened end of April. **The theme of this cycle is "friendship"** **About Kino Red Dot** Kino is a global filmmaker movement and Kino Red Dot is the Singapore chapter. Our mission is simple: create a safe and supportive environment where people can practice their craft by making films regularly. Our motto: **Do well with nothing, do better with a little, do it now.** There is no competition, no prizes, no money. Only practice, collaboration, screenings, and friendships. **During this production meeting you can** * Pitch your film project and present your needs (cast, crew, equipment, locations, etc.) * Join a project as an actor, actress or crew member * Meet collaborators and start building your team **Agenda** 7:30pm – Arrival and informal gathering 8:00pm – Round of introductions \~8:30pm – Film project pitches \~9:00pm – Networking, team building and drinks **Membership** Participation in our activities will require an active membership (S$30 per year). We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily.
