The Soul of Persia
Nomadista Adventures \| Iran Cultural Journey
Shiraz – Persepolis – Isfahan – Kashan
A curated winter escape into history, poetry, and timeless beauty
Day 1 \| Arrival in Shiraz – Gardens\, Poetry & Evening Calm
Your journey begins with a flight from Dubai to Shiraz, arriving in the early afternoon. Upon landing, you are personally welcomed and transferred to your hotel, where time slows and the rhythm of Iran gently unfolds.
We begin with Narenjestan-e Ghavam, an elegant garden estate where citrus trees, mirrored halls, and carved wooden details reflect the refined taste of the Qajar era. From here, we move to the serene shrine of Ali Ibn Hamza, a spiritual space that offers quiet reflection and striking architectural beauty.
As the afternoon softens, we visit the tomb of Hafez, Iran’s most beloved poet. Locals gather here not as tourists, but as readers, dreamers, and lovers of words. Poetry lingers in the air.
The day concludes with a stroll through a traditional bazaar, rich with textures, scents, and daily life.
Overnight in Shiraz.
Day 2 \| Shiraz – Persepolis – Isfahan \| The Rise of an Empire
We begin the morning at Nasir al-Mulk Mosque, famously known as the Pink Mosque. As sunlight pours through stained-glass windows, the interior transforms into a living canvas of color and light — a moment best experienced slowly, in silence.
From here, we journey to one of the greatest archaeological treasures of the ancient world: Persepolis.
Built more than 2,500 years ago by Darius the Great, Persepolis was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire — an empire that once stretched from the Indus Valley to the Mediterranean Sea. Walking through its vast stone staircases, soaring columns, and intricately carved reliefs, you witness scenes of unity rather than conquest: delegations from across the empire bringing gifts, each carved with dignity and precision. Persepolis speaks not only of power, but of governance, culture, and respect among civilizations.
Nearby, we visit Naqsh-e Rostam, where the tombs of Achaemenid kings are carved high into the cliffs, standing timeless against the landscape. These monumental facades are a reminder that some legacies are built to outlast centuries.
In the afternoon, we continue toward Isfahan, watching the scenery shift as history follows us north.
Overnight in Isfahan.
Day 3 \| Isfahan – Half of the World
Today unfolds in Isfahan, a city once described as “Half of the World.”
We begin at Naqsh-e Jahan Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the grandest public squares ever built. Here, architecture, religion, trade, and power converge. We explore the Imam Mosque, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, and Ali Qapu Palace, each reflecting the vision of Shah Abbas the Great and the artistic peak of the Safavid era.
After wandering through the surrounding bazaar, we pause for coffee in a carefully chosen local café — a moment to absorb the atmosphere rather than rush through it.
Before lunch, we visit Chehel Sotoun Palace, where reflections of slender columns dance across the water, creating images that stay with you long after you leave. We then explore Vank Cathedral, built in 1606 in Isfahan’s Armenian quarter, a powerful symbol of cultural coexistence and layered identity.
As the day winds down, we walk along the Zayandeh Rud River, crossing historic bridges that once served as social gathering spaces, not merely passages.
Overnight in Isfahan.
Day 4 \| Isfahan – Kashan – Departure \| Gardens & Grace
In the morning, we depart for Kashan, beginning with Tepe Sialk, an ancient archaeological site dating back to around 3000 BC — a quiet reminder of humanity’s earliest settlements.
We then visit the renowned Fin Garden, a masterpiece of Persian garden design and engineering. Flowing water channels, towering cypress trees, and floral symmetry create a sense of balance and serenity that defines Persian aesthetics.
In the afternoon, we explore the elegant Tabatabaei Historical House, a refined example of Qajar-era domestic architecture, followed by a visit to Kashan Bazaar and Timche Amin al-Dowleh, celebrated for their architectural harmony and craftsmanship.
We then transfer to Imam Khomeini International Airport for departure, carrying not just memories, but a deeper connection to Iran’s layered soul.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for January is "Chemistry"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 7:00 pm, show starts at 7:30 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
Japanese Language Meetup at Dublin Library
Come and join our lively Japanese language meetup, where Japanese language learners and native speakers come together to learn, play, and connect. We’ll practice through fun games and interactive conversation in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Whether you’re just starting out, more advanced, or a native speaker who enjoys helping others, everyone is encouraged to join and participate.
After the library we'll take a leisurely walk together to get food/drinks. There are many options around including North Market Bridge Park. It's a perfect opportunity to continue our conversations and enjoy each other's company over a meal.
