Centro Cultural Capoeira Água de Beber (CECAB) – Capoeira Água de Beber Cultural Centre – is a non-profit organization, founded officially in January 2002. Its pivot activity is Capoeira (classes, rodas, workshops, public presentations, cultural events, performances), however it aggregates other cultural manifestations as: samba de roda, maculelê, frevo, ciranda, dança do coco, dança afro, puxada de rede, craftworks workshops of making and playing music instruments, video projections, movies, lectures about relevant cultural topics and matters related to enforcement of citizenship. All the activities realized through CECAB are designated to execution of social responsibility projects, further on the sportive, cultural and artistic activities through the realization of the shows, presentations and events related to Capoeira and Brazilian culture.

Please note the following: 1. This is a concrete surface, so factor that into your choice of footwear. 2. In the case of bad weather, the bandstand itself is roofed, so there should be no problem with rain etc, but numbers will be much more limited, with no over-spill spaces. 3. Please feel free to bring snacks etc., however, please bring something to bring your rubbish home in, as bins in that area of Phoenix Park are a little sparse. 4. The Phoenix Park Tearooms are an excellent facility and serve wonderful coffee, tea, treats. Please consider them as an option for your pre-dancing turbo boost. It does no harm to get on well with our neighbours. There are toilets there too, but they are normally quite busy. 5. Please don't come if feeling unwell. 6. This event is free of charge.

She is a specialist in leading and following. During her classes she’s focusing on both leaders and followers giving them a lot of valuable advice helping to improve and feel more confident on the dance floor. She’s appreciated for her professionalism, methodology and positive energy.

A relaxed belly dance-inspired movement session in Dublin city centre. This class is an accessible movement practice designed to support wellbeing, posture, and gentle full-body fitness. We work from simple foundational movements and focus on: ✨ Core strength and stability ✨ Posture and body alignment ✨ Hip, lower back, and leg mobility ✨ Coordination and balance ✨ Body awareness and relaxation No experience is required. This is an open-level session where we explore movement in a simple and supportive way, without performance pressure. The meaning of the word zen is meditation, zazen means sitting meditation. In zazen practice we begin to know ourselves, and to go beyond the limits of our personal ego. Within our tradition zazen is referred to as shikantaza, not doing, letting go of thoughts, dropping off body and mind. This sitting meditation is the focus of our practice. Language limits our ability to communicate the true nature of zen; it is something that is better understood through practice. We are open to everyone interested in learning about zen. Intro workshop for newcomers is available at 5.30pm each Sunday. The dojo is a sacred place and it is important to be considerate of everyone. We have many people that travel to practise together once a week or once a month. So for that reason it is really essential that we all know the structure of the sitting practise (when to sit, how to do Kinhin, the different bell sounds and their meaning etc), to ensure a silent, safe and meaningful meditation. And it's also great to meet everyone before the sitting practise. And answer any questions you may have. We have zafus and zabutons (mats and cushions) for all to sit on. Chairs are available too. Comfortable clothing for sitting, black or neutral tones best. We greatly appreciate a donation of €5 to cover costs if it's possible for you.
