It's that time of year again! Time to celebrate the season, and for the yearly appearance of the Santa Dragon! We will be doing our usual Secret Samus this year, but as always, participation is optional. Those who wish to participate can bring a wrapped gift. We ask that you don't break the bank on the gift keeping it around $10 to $20 dollars. You are also welcome to bring a couple extra gifts as well for those who might not be able to get one. It is the time of giving after all. We are also going to be doing a potluck again like we did for Gamesgiving last month. Like Secret Samus, participation is also optional. Those who do take park you can bring a side dish, snacks, dessert or drinks. Also like Secret Samus you don't have to break the bank or your back for your side dish. We will be cooking a ham as the main course along with mashed potatoes and a green bean casserole. To prevent too many of one dish we'll start a thread in our discord channel to coordinate eats. Here's hoping you'll join us! Normal details follow: Vaccine verification will be made via either presentation of your Vaccine card at the door, or a photo of the updated card posted to the vaccine channel of the group Discord. Masks are now optional. Our setup, as it's currently configured, should allow for even better social distancing than we had before, with the secondary gaming area in a completely different room. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
