Let’s spend a day immersed in Japan — not broadly “Asian culture,” but specifically the traditions, creativity, energy (and foods) of Japan itself. The **Japan Festival in Amstelveen** is one of the largest Japanese cultural events in the Netherlands, bringing together performers, artisans, chefs, and cultural organisations directly connected to Japan. It’s a focused celebration of Japanese heritage, from centuries-old traditions — shūji (calligraphy), origami, budō (martial arts) — to today’s hottest food trends in the NL (ramen, matcha). This is a chance to experience Japan as its own distinct cultural world — layered, diverse, and very much its own. We’ll tour the festival quickly then meet for a group lunch. Afterwards, we can return individually or in smaller groups to specific booths or activities, or simply wander around at a slower pace. We'll meet at 13.00 to start the "tour", so please be on time. Join us for a small outdoor mat Pilates class in Utrecht 🌿 We’ll meet in the park for a relaxed, beginner-friendly Pilates session.
