## (Lesson 2) ## What to expect Project Equilibrium is an in-person introduction to disciplined, rule-based trading automation. This first event is designed to be clear, practical, and approachable no hype, no pressure, and no prior technical background required. ### Why we meet (two-session structure) This meetup is structured as **two lessons**: **Lesson 1 — The “Why” (mindset + framework)** * What Project Equilibrium is (and what it is not) * Why we focus on process, rules, and execution discipline * What “24/7 execution” means in practice * Q&A and open discussion **Lesson 2 — The “How” (step-by-step setup)** * A simple walkthrough of the basic tools you need * Step-by-step guidance to install and prepare the required exchange apps/accounts * A clear checklist to be ready for future sessions (You won’t be left alone—everything is explained calmly and in order.) ### What to bring To make the second lesson smooth, please bring: * **A smartphone** (for authentication and exchange app setup) * **A laptop** (for the setup steps and configuration) If you only have one device, you can still join Lesson 1. Columbus Code & Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working session. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Come to play and showcase your games. We're back in the upper levels of the catwalk mezzanine area. It'll be packed with lots of camaraderie playing your game(s) and other's games on the 2nd floor as well as the 1st floor in the gaming room below the mezzanine. Light snacks and water provided but you can buy food and drinks at the bar (alcoholic drink ID required). **Opening Talk:** Luisa will demo a sassy AI-powered plant built in FastAPI using GPT-4o to explore personality, dialogue design, and human-AI interaction. **Main Talk:** What about using certain CLIs puts a smile on your face and gets you telling all your friends and colleagues about it? The Unix philosophy emphasizes simplicity, modularity, and the idea that programs should do one thing well and work together. However, CLI programs are primarily used by humans. Programs that you actually enjoy using can achieve both of these aims of composability and human-centeredness. This talk explores what makes CLIs great: fast, trusted, and delightful. Through real-world examples from modern tools like uv, cargo, ripgrep, and GitHub CLI, you'll learn the design patterns that separate good CLIs from great ones.
