**Reinforcing Resilience in the Real World with Static Stability, Fault Isolation and Multiple Regions**
Speaker: Anshika Gupta
Level: 200
At AWS, resilience is viewed as a continuous process, built on years of experience working with customers operating critical workloads.
In this session, Anshika will explore how to design systems using AWS fault isolation boundaries and the concept of static stability to achieve predictable recovery times and high availability.
Youâll learn:
⢠How AWS Regions are designed and operated for resilience
⢠Key architectural patterns AWS services use to maintain operations during disruptions
⢠How static stability helps maintain availability under failure conditions
⢠Practical architecture patterns for building multi-region resilience
This session will showcase design principles, best practices, and example architectures that can help you meet your resilience requirements for mission-critical workloads.

KMLF March 2026 - Making your AI trustworthy
Have you ever met someone who really wants to learn guitar, but rather than have Lessons, they just watch hundreds and hundreds of YouTube videos? No order, no progressing skill and not even the same genre of music? That is how most people are approaching AI right now and Knowledge Management has something BIG to say about that.
When businesses say âMy system is hallucinatingâ, KMers hear âI fed my system a bunch of random data, why is it saying random things??â. Two words have been missing and are now taking off, in fact some are calling it a $billion industry. Context and Provenance.
Come along to KMLF for a different session. We will be watching a recent discussion from one of the top voices in this field and learning and discussing what it means for us as we help guide our organisations to a better AI (and knowledge) future.
Thanks again to MinterEllison, who host the amazing space we meet in each month.
**Session Details:**
* **Date & Time:** 6:00pm AEDST, Fourth Wednesday of each month
* **Format:** Minter Ellison and on Teams
* **Agenda:**
* 6-6:30 pm networking
* 6:30-7:45pm exploration of the topic
* 7:45-8pm wrap up

## A Space to Pause, Reflect, and Let Go
Sometimes in life we carry things quietly inside us.
Old emotions.
Unspoken words.
Past experiences.
Stress, heartbreak, grief, or simply the weight of moving through the world.
We keep going, often without giving ourselves the space to truly process what weâve been holding.
This evening is an invitation to **pause**.
To breathe.
To reconnect with yourself.
And if you feel ready â to gently release what you no longer need to carry.
The last **9 Senses Awakening Healing Circle** I hosted became one of the most beautiful and meaningful gatherings Iâve experienced. Many people shared that it gave them a rare moment to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with themselves in a deeper way.
Because of that experience, Iâve felt called to create this space again.
This event is **open to everyone** and **not limited to singles**. Anyone who feels drawn to a quiet evening of reflection, awareness, and personal growth is warmly welcome.
## The 9 Senses Awakening
Throughout the evening we will explore awareness through **nine layers of human perception**.
The physical senses
⢠Sight
⢠Sound
⢠Smell
⢠Taste
⢠Touch
The inner senses
⢠Intuition
⢠Emotional awareness
The subtle senses
⢠Energy (vibration and presence)
⢠Spiritual connection
Through simple guided practices, breath awareness, and mindful reflection, we reconnect with these senses â helping us return to presence and inner clarity.
## Healing Circle & Sharing
This evening is held in a **healing circle**, creating a space where everyone is seen, heard, and respected.
There is **no pressure to speak**. You are welcome to simply listen and be present.
For those who wish to share, the circle allows space for reflection and connection with others who may be navigating their own journeys.
## Fire Ritual â Letting Go
Toward the end of the evening we will take part in a **symbolic fire ritual**.
Participants will be invited to write down something they are ready to release â a past story, emotional weight, fear, resentment, or something that has been quietly sitting in their hearts.
As the paper burns, we symbolically allow that chapter to transform.
Many people describe this moment as **deeply moving and liberating**.
## What to Expect
⢠A calm and supportive environment
⢠Guided sensory awareness and reflection
⢠A healing circle and optional sharing
⢠A symbolic fire ritual for release
⢠A small and intimate group experience
No previous experience with meditation or healing circles is required.
Simply bring yourself, exactly as you are.
## Hosted by Vivienne Vu
Vivienne Vu is passionate about creating spaces for reflection, emotional awareness, and authentic human connection.
Her work focuses on helping people reconnect with themselves, release emotional weight, and move forward in life with greater clarity and intention.

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. Weâll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from serverâdriven controls, and why theyâre becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether youâre maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, youâll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standardsâbased way.

Confidence & Connection: Using Your Authentic Truth to Find Your People
**Confidence & Connection: Using Your Authentic Truth to Find Your People**
Confidence isnât just about believing in yourself, itâs about knowing where you belong and who you can grow alongside.
In this April Confidence Lab Happy Hour, weâll explore how living in your authentic truth helps you find your people, build meaningful collaborations, and create spaces where vulnerability is met with respect rather than risk. Together, weâll reflect on what it looks like to advocate for yourself with clarity and care, and how confidence deepens when itâs rooted in connection rather than comparison.
Featured speaker **Lachandra Baker**, founder of **[LBB Edutainment](https://www.lbbedutainment.com/)** and author of *Your Own Biggest Cheerleader*, will share reflections on authenticity, psychological safety, and the power of community over individual achievement. Drawing from personal storiesâincluding the significance of turning 53âLachandra will invite us into a conversation about showing up fully, being seen, and choosing relationships that support who you truly are.
Expect a warm, welcoming atmosphere with space for reflection, shared insight, and intentional connectionâplus drinks, light bites, and the kind of conversations that remind you youâre not meant to do this alone.
Come as you are. Leave feeling clearer about your voice, your people, and the confidence that grows when both are aligned.
**What is Confidence Lab?**
Confidence Lab is a monthly community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether youâre launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fullyâyou belong here.
Our work demands clarity, courage, and convictionâbut the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work.
Itâs designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to lead with authenticity and impact.
***Please note:*** *All are welcome! If cost is a concern, please use promo code PUBLIC to access a free ticketâwe want you to join us.*
