Let's Be Honest Together
This event has a different topic each time and includes a variety of interactive exercises. It's an engaging and creative way to express ourselves, and connect with how others think, feel and deal with life. We will aim to provide a supportive and sate environment and open up about our lives freely.
A lot of times we don't talk about what we are really going through because we are worried of what people might think of us. This causes us to bottle things up, feel disconnected with the people around us or feel ashamed of ourselves.
Anything you share in the session is confidential and shall not be disclosed outside of the room.
Please only RSVP if you intend to come and change your RSVP to 'No' if you are not going to be able to attend.
• **PRICE:** 5 € to cover the room (Revolut/Cash/ Paypal). Please pay the fee after the workshop.
• **TIME:** We will start at 19:25 and finish at 20:55.
Please be on time, to respect other members in the group.
• **VENUE:** We are meeting at the Abbey Presbyterian Church - Parnell Square N, Rotunda, Dublin 1 (entrance on the side of Frederick St.). The room is on the first floor, at the back on your left.
• **NOTE:** Even though the event is held in a religious institution, the group and the event are entirely secular and the exercises are by no means related to spirituality or religion.

Hy ,, I have "adopted" this group, because I love music creativity and would like to develop the group, BUT before imposing my ideas I would like you , as existing members to state what you want from this group, I have made an effort as I had 3 groups and close one (merged it with another) so that I could stop this group from its demise (which meetup HQ advised would close this week) so you can either mail me , or post ideas on discussion OR I have use of a central town location from 4-7 PM on the 8th January ... in the meantime BEST wishes

Let’s play… Hostile Work Environment/The Skeletons/Yokai Hunters/Magical Kitties
Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of each game, you just need to bring your imagination.
🎭 **This week's facilitators:**
* 💼 **Silvia** with a survival horror one-shot from Grant Howitt in *Hostile Work Environment*, where you are hunted for sport by up-gunned Executives in the blood-stained halls of your office after a corporate buyout. What does it mean to be professional, and why does it matter? What do we owe each other, as humans both trapped in and inherently separate from the capital machine? Given the relentless nature of the dominant global philosophy which we find ourselves born into, can we truly maintain a work/life balance or are those both the same thing? None of these questions will be answered!
* 💀 **Emil** flipping the script on the classic dungeon crawl in *The Skeletons*, in which you'll play guardians cursed to spend eternity defending a tomb. Years fly by like dead leaves. Everything is darkness. Everything is silence. You stand vigilant before the sarcophagus without thought or breath-such is your compulsion. You do not remember your name and still you watch. The flesh has fallen off your bones and still you watch. And then one day there is light and motion and you weigh your bearded axe and raise your shield, lusting for the fray, eager to measure your skill against these tomb-robbing children so full of blood. You’ll never be alive again, but in this moment-in the chaos between violation and destruction-you truly live, and you remember what you once were, and you taste the sun.
* 👹 **Scott** with another installment of *Yokai Hunters Society*. The fiersome red Oni *Gōenmaru* has been a thorn in The Society's side for too long; his tendency towards violence and kidnappings has been a blight on the nation's people, save for the fanatics who live to serve him. Having killed many Hunters in the past and recently evading capture, The Society enlists you to infiltrate his inner circle and put an end to his reign of terror.
* 🐈 **Dave** making his facilitating debut with *Magical Kitties and the Case of the Cursed Mirror*. The kitties in Sunset City run the Cat Eyes Detective Agency, which is housed in the basement of the human Diamond & Ace Detective Agency. Because even though the human detectives are pretty good at their jobs, sometimes it takes a magical touch to get to the heart of what’s really going on in this town! But they need to be prudent: if anyone finds out that they’re magical, it’ll be big trouble for the kitties. This ain’t for the faint of paw!

Intro to GitHub Copilot: Your AI Pair Programmer - Chris Steele
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is rapidly changing how developers write, understand, and maintain code. Powered by generative AI and deeply integrated into modern development environments, Copilot acts as an intelligent coding assistant, helping developers move faster while maintaining quality and focus.
In this session, we’ll explore what GitHub Copilot is, how it works, and where it fits into a real-world developer workflow. We’ll break down what Copilot can (and cannot) do, where it can be used, and how licensing differs for individuals and organizations. Most importantly, this talk goes beyond theory with a live, hands-on demo showcasing Copilot inside the IDE and on GitHub, demonstrating how it can assist with code generation, refactoring, learning new APIs, and accelerating day-to-day development tasks.
Designed for developers, technical leads, and engineering managers, this session provides a practical introduction to AI-assisted development, highlights best practices for getting value from Copilot, and closes with guidance on how to continue learning and evolving alongside this rapidly advancing tool.
Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of how GitHub Copilot can enhance productivity, improve developer experience, and fit into modern software teams today, not someday.

Want to Truly Heal from Emotional Trauma?
Why are we unhappy? Where does emotional pain come from? Studies show that people who suffer from long-term emotional pain have painful experiences in their lives that were never fully resolved in their mind. In other words, there were issues in the past that were not completely dealt with. This can include abuse in childhood, breakups, divorce, death of a loved one, to name a few.
How do you know whether you have gotten over something painful? Here is an easy test: Do you still have attention on what had happened to you? For instance, do you still find yourself thinking about something painful that you went through? If you are, then you are not over it. In fact, in severe cases, people find themselves playing a "tape" in their mind over and over again.
So how do you heal from your past? How do you stop the "tape" playing in your mind? In this meeting, you will learn a technique to help you with that.
Come join us! Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there.
This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology life improvement center.
