It is only about 31km (about 45minutes) away from Kluang town and a popular hike among Johorian and Singaporean, apart from the nearby Gunung Lambak. There is actually no other way to reach the summit of Mount Gua Rimau except by climbing [Mount Belumut](https://ms.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gunung_Belumut) summit to reach. [The Ulu Sungai Kahang Valley](https://ms.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lembah_Ulu_Sungai_Kahang&action=edit&redlink=1) can also be seen clearly from here. The summit is quite wide and spacious and is surrounded by small trees. It takes an average of 10 - 12 hours to complete this hike , 6 hours to ascend and 4 hours to descend based on a regular hiker fitness level. No pain No gain. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily.
