The Devil in Miss Beros: Erotica-inspired Existentialist Stand-Up Comedy
**Check out the balls on Miss Beros in her homage to the Golden Age of Porn’s, ‘The Devil in Miss Jones’.** Smouldering in the hellscape of now, when fetish has hit mainstream, why not embrace hedonism and make God a lucky voyeur? This is the 4th stand-up solo hour written, performed and produced by Anna Beros following ‘Creampie Curious’, ‘Creampie Clarity’ and ‘High Hoe’. **Full-time indie stand-up since 2022 and the comedian for ethical porn company, Ersties, Anna is dark, depraved and joyous. Just come.**
“This was such a fun show and I genuinely couldn’t stop laughing! It was so dark, a little twisted, and so wrong in all the right places! Viciously relatable and finally saying all the 18+ thoughts out loud that you’re ashamed of finding funny! 10/10, no notes, go watch!” – Sarah, audience review ‘High Hoe’ Edinburgh Fringe 2025
At 39, Anna appeals to all ages who love a naughty laugh. Bouncing with energy, she brings audiences together with warming crowd work and shameless authenticity.
**This show is ideal for dates looking for lively conversation topics, hungry singles, tourists who are apologetic about gentrification, families with unresolved tensions, the perverted, silver foxes with knowing smiles and connoisseurs of comedy.**
**About Anna**
Kiwi born, Melbourne raised and Berlin saved, Anna is a headliner in major European cities, she opened for Jeff Arcuri at Admiralspalast twice in Berlin 2025 and has written for Comedy Central DE. Her solos ‘Creampie Curious’, ‘Creampie Clarity’ & ‘High Hoe’ played at Edinburgh Fringe 2023 – 2025, Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2023 – 2024, Leicester Comedy Festival 2024 and Adelaide Fringe 2023. She has the podcast, Adults ONLY Comedy Berlin, and hosts the comedy channel Erstie’s Nonsense.

Session 19: Hope
Hi!
Welcome to Thought Experiments in Pubs - Berlin edition, where you get to have deep conversations with people you've never met.
The topic will be Hope. I'll post some questions that will guide us through the topic as a comment on the day.
**Location:** [Atopia Kaffeehaus, Prenzlauer Allee 187, 10405 Berlin](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Ukuup9CTrmedrB6f9)
*Please consider that the locations we visit do not charge us for our booking, so in return, please make sure to show your appreciation by buying drinks or snacks.
- If you're signed up but can't make the event, please cancel so someone else can take your spot
*Make sure you check the right address, there is a sister pub nearby and it's not that one ☝️
**The idea:**
A chance to meet and talk at a 'deeper' level, and skip the 'small talk'.
**How will it work?**
We will have a set of 'Thought Experiments', short, philosophical scenarios and questions, which will be discussed in groups. The conversation will flow freely, there are no strict rules, simply share and discuss your perspectives on the given topic. The thought experiments will be posted here ahead of the event.
**Who should come?**
Everyone! We believe that the more perspectives, the richer the conversation. This group is not about being experts in philosophy, it is about *doing* philosophy. That is, bringing our various life experiences and lenses on the world to group discussions about the human experience, the nature of reality... etc.
**Do I need to bring anything?**
No! Just an open, inquisitive mind.
We will do 3 rounds of discussions. After the event, I would love to hear your feedback on the session.
The thought experiments we will discuss are around the theme of the day. Prompts will be posted here on the day of the event.
See you soon!
\- Dirk

Berlin Sprachcafé. Learn and practise German easily (A1-A2)

(everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other.

The Gang Goes to the Bar
First meeting.
We’ll just grab drinks, hang out, meet each other, and talk about favorite episodes, characters, and the Gang’s dumbest schemes.
The Minority Report
The Minority Report is a weekly stand-up comedy show about identity, culture, and the expat experience.
Are you a minority in Europe? Did something weird, awkward, or low-key offensive happen to you this week?
This is the space to vent your feelings about it.
Every week, comedians Bryan Lee and Moe Singleton take the stage to unpack life as outsiders, offering their unique commentary on topics like race, masculinity, relationships, and life between cultures.
Add weekly special guest comedians and “question time” with the audience, and you’ve got Berlin’s most unhinged comedy experience.
🎟️ Want to warm up before the show?
Check out our comedy workshop – a beginner-friendly stand-up class with Bryan and Moe, hosted just before the show.
Filmmakers & Movie Nerds Meetup #177
Curious what we do? Check our [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/filmmakersandmovienerds/) ♥️
Would you like to meet some like-minded filmmakers? Start a project? Or do you need help with a movie you are currently working on? Are you new in the city and you'd like to meet people tinkering with movies?
**Then you should join us!**
We meet every Sunday. It’s important to us that we get to know each other in person. To create a community of connected people, work, learn and grow together. For film making you need a crew of reliable people with a positive can-do-attitude. This is the place to find them.
Together, we will talk about these topics:
* What you are currently working on
* What you need help with
* What would you like to help with
* What you you would like to learn
This is event is great for:
* filmmakers
* movie nerds
* writers
* camera operators
* editors
* actors
* sound recorders
* composers
* gaffers
* producers
We are limiting the amount of people, so we can have a structured introduction and discussion. After that we get together loosely with some drinks and chats. And then we mostly go for dinner with a couple of us.
**Important information**:
*To sustain and grow this amazing community, we started a member contribution that is due every month. The money we collect is used solely for the purpose of the community. Of course you can come once or twice without contributing to check us out!*

Choose Your Movie: THE SHEEP DETECTIVES vs HOKUM at Cinemark Stoneridge!
Join us as we get together to see your choice of two VERY different movies – one sweet and wholesome – the other a terrifying folklore horror! Option 1 is the fun whodunnit-action-comedy-mystery led by Hugh Jackman, THE SHEEP DETECTIVES! Option 2 is the top-reviewed supernatural-horror-thriller starring Adam Scott, HOKUM! Here’s a description, trailer and plan for this event:
THE SHEEP DETECTIVES: Every night a shepherd reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand. When he is found dead, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it. The film is directed by Kyle Balda and take a look at this ensemble cast: Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Braun, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau and Emma Thompson and the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein and Rhys Darby. TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyZI5oM6hWk
HOKUM: In this film, a horror writer visits an Irish inn to scatter his parents' ashes, unaware the property is said to be haunted by a witch. It is written/directed by Damian McCarthy stars Adam Scott, Peter Coonan, David Wilmot, Florence Ordesh and Austin Amelio. Hokum premiered to rave reviews at this year’s SXSW Festival and is being release by Neon. It is earning a stellar 97% positive rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which calls it, “A classic haunted house story enriched with atmospheric folklore and perfectly-timed shocks!” TRAILER: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVCIK_MPyhc
PLAN: We’ll plan for a 7pm-ish showing of both films and will meet inside the theater lobby about 20 minutes before showtime. If the showtimes work out, we’ll try to get both groups together for a bite before the shows! Complete details and showtime will be confirmed/announced as the date gets closer.
Look forward to seeing you there, Dan

The Mercy of the Gods by James S. A. Corey
Join us for Mercy of the Gods by James S. A. Corey.
How humanity came to the planet called Anjiin is lost in the fog of history, but that history is about to end. The Carryx - part empire, part hive - have waged wars of conquest for centuries, destroying or enslaving species across the galaxy. Now, they are facing a great and deathless enemy. The key to their survival may rest with the humans of Anjiin. Caught up in academic intrigue and affairs of the heart, Dafyd Alkhor is pleased just to be an assistant to a brilliant scientist and his celebrated research team. Then the Carryx ships descend, decimating the human population and taking the best and brightest of Anjiin society away to serve on the Carryx homeworld, and Dafyd is swept along with them. They are dropped in the middle of a struggle they barely understand, set in a competition against the other captive species with extinction as the price of failure.
Only Dafyd and a handful of his companions see past the Darwinian contest to the deeper game that they must play to learning to understand - and manipulate - the Carryx themselves. With a noble but suicidal human rebellion on one hand and strange and murderous enemies on the other, the team pays a terrible price to become the trusted servants of their new rulers. Dafyd Alkhor is a simple man swept up in events that are beyond his control and more vast than his imagination.
He will become the champion of humanity and its betrayer, the most hated man in history and the guardian of his people. This is where his story begins.
