Der Stammtisch beginnt um 19:00 Uhr der **Vortrag um 19:30**. **KI-Slop in der Geschichtsvermittlung** Sichtbarkeit um jeden Preis? Die Vergangenheit ist uns nur in Fragmenten überliefert. Auch deswegen, weil historische Spuren bewusst zerstört wurden oder wegen Ungerechtigkeiten gar nicht erst entstehen konnten. Doch wie erzählt man aber von einer Geschichte ohne Zeugnisse und Quellen? Das Projekt „Versäumte Bilder“ der Fotografin Gesine Born, möchte diesen Umstand mithilfe Künstlicher Intelligenz beseitigen: Generierte Fotos sollen das Leben und die Leistung vergangener Wissenschaftlerinnen sichtbar machen und ihnen die Ehre zuteil lassen, die sie zu Lebzeiten nicht bekamen. Doch welche Vergangenheit wird dort dargestellt? Was sagt die Geschichtswissenschaft zu KI-generierter Geschichte? Und was macht es mit unserem kollektiven Gedächtnis, wenn wir uns an eine Vergangenheit erinnern, die es nie gegeben hat? **Tabea Henn** ist Historikerin und Public Historian. Seit 2021 betreibt sie Wissenschaftskommunikation. In ihrem Podcast "Klios Spiegel" erklärt sie, was Historiker\*innen tatsächlich über die Vergangenheit sagen können und was dies für unsere Gegenwart bedeutet. **Forma** Das Edutainment-Format "Skeptics in the Pub" kommt ursprünglich aus dem UK und verbindet unterhaltsame wissenschaftliche Vorträge mit Diskussion und Socializing in entspannter Atmosphäre Seit einigen Jahren gibt es auch im deutschsprachigen Raum regelmäßige Veranstaltungsreihen u.a. in Köln, Wien und jetzt auch in Berlin

Within 20 minutes participants learn to use the common sound space to create resonance in the form of improvisational music where it is quite common to experience some real flow moments… It is very easy to participate, no musical talent or training is required so anyone is welcome to join. All of the session is done with eyes closed to avoid visual distractions and keep focus on the co-created sound space. During these sessions we will also have short breaks for feedback and refreshment. Important – Please be on time. Yes! It’s happening. We finally found an actual cinema for screening! Now we start the The Shorts Show as a **curated one-hour screening of curated short films**. Before the screening we meet for drinks at the Il Kino bar. After the films, we stay, talk about movies, filmmaking and connect with other creatives and film lovers. We want to create a relaxed space for (re)discovering your movies. Let’s mingle with fellow filmmakers and experience independent cinema together. The Language Café is primarily aimed at people who are struggling with their mental health which can make it hard to go to regular courses. We want to create a safe space for everyone to learn and practise without pressure. Everyone is welcome! Please try to be on time so we can all get started together :) We mainly practise on a beginner/lower intermediate level and adapt to everyone's prior level of German. The Language Café will focus on teaching you the most important words and phrases and basic grammar in German. The content of the course is adapted to real life. (everyday life in Germany, dealing with authorities, etc.) We will cover different topics every week and you can join us anytime, since the topics do not necessarily build on each other. Based on the novel Roadside Picnic, it is NO picnic, but rather one of the masterpieces of world cinema. Andrei Tarkovsky's 1979 Soviet sci-fi classic, recounts the expedition of a writer and professor led by a mysterious guide called "The Stalker." to a futuristic wasteland called "The Zone." Dripping with existential dread, it continually presents strange occurrences that will have us debating the meaning of what we've just viewed right through the ending. *Stalker* (1979) can be streamed for free on HBOMax, the Criterion Channel or Kanopy. Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “Create a better world” by helping serve those in need. NOTE: We’re switching it up this time and going with a DINNER shift on Mon, 7/6. Here are complete details and our plan for this event: FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces. PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for DINNER from 4:30 to 6:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 4:20pm and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking are available in the surrounding area.
