Beginners will be guided through the process of making things using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing, under-glazing and glazing. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcome to use my wheel (to be reserved in advance). *Punto Raíz* is a space for encounter, creation, and care through photo embroidery and self-portrait practice. This workshop invites participants to intervene personal photographs as a way of storytelling—recognizing ourselves and reconstructing our narratives through body, memory, and lived experience. Throughout life, we go through moments of change, displacement, rupture, or transformation that invite us to pause and look at ourselves more closely. This workshop is conceived as a conscious pause to reflect on who we are, where we come from, and how we inhabit our own image, in dialogue with others and through mutual listening. From a feminist, sensitive, and collaborative perspective, participants will embroider on their own photographs as a symbolic and expressive gesture—marking, repairing, accompanying, and resignifying the image. Through thread and needle, we explore self-portraiture as an accessible and collective artistic practice, where every story has value and space. The workshop is designed as an intimate, safe, and horizontal space, open to people of all backgrounds, ages, and experiences. No prior experience in embroidery or artistic practices is required—only a willingness to share, create, and connect collectively.
