Write More Write Better Write Naturally - Imagination Unfurled
Write More Write Better Write Naturally - Imagination Unfurled
IMAGINATION UNFURLED: Write More, Write Better, Write Naturally - Part 1 - with Clare Wigfall Starting February 19th, 2026 (in-person) - seven sessions DATES: Thursday afternoons - February 19th to May 21st, 2026 TIME: 13:30-15:30 WHERE: Prenzlauer Berg, Berlin, address on registration CLASS SIZE: capped at 11 students COST: 257 euro + MwSt (total 306 EUR) Registration: [imagination.unfurled@gmail.com](mailto:imagination.unfurled@gmail.com) With over twenty years of teaching experience, British Faber author and BBC National Short Story Award winner Clare Wigfall has developed a method that guarantees to inspire your imagination and consistently brings extraordinary results. Whether you are an experienced writer or a total beginner, her intention is to break down the barriers that inhibit, so that the creative process can come naturally. Under her gentle guidance, this perfectly-structured course of generative writing workshops will allow you to develop a body of new work and experiment with different techniques. By design, Part One of this course does not include a formal workshopping element, but does allow for opportunities to share your work. You’ll also be introduced to inspirational and thought-provoking fiction by established authors and will have a chance to hone your critical skills through group discussion of these texts. Clare’s workshops have a proven track record of inspiring award-winning, publishable writing, and her students have been accepted to prestigious Masters programmes and found professional writing careers. This course will work you hard and provide challenges and surprises, but it also promises lots of fun and laughter, as well as much stimulation and encouragement from the others in the group. Shortlisted for the 2023 European Award for Excellence in Teaching in the Humanities and Social Sciences and professor of Creative Writing at Bard College Berlin, Clare’s teaching has a playful inventiveness and energy that never fails to inspire, and her classes foster a warm multicultural writing community, both in-person and online, creating connections that last long beyond the close of the course. “Clare brought an immense knowledge of literature, a familiarity with the creative process and ways to kickstart it, and, much rarer, the ability to put people at ease, and allow them to open up without self-consciousness. There was an openness and collective energy from the group (although we were never in the same room), which is a testimony to the skill of the teacher. The class gave me a new slant on the writing process, and it taught me a lot about myself as a writer.” Laurie Snowden, Berkeley, California To register, ask questions, or to join the mailing list to be kept informed about future online and in-person classes, contact Clare via [imagination.unfurled@gmail.com](mailto:imagination.unfurled@gmail.com)

**Uncertain Times, Adaptive Teams** What’s the next evolution of Agile? Agile turns **25 years old in 2026**. A quarter of a century after a small group of practitioners met in the late 90s to rethink how teams could work better, we once again find ourselves in a moment of profound change. AI is reshaping roles. Organizations expect clarity and measurable impact. Teams are navigating increasing complexity and shifting expectations. Blood on the Clocktower at BRLO Brwhaus!! (beginner/intermediate)
Blood on the Clocktower at BRLO Brwhaus!! (beginner/intermediate)
*Trialing a new location now that Brewdog has closed, please bear with us while we get back on our feet :)* Hi folks, this is the special meetup group for the weekly Sunday Blood on the Clocktower games in Berlin, currently at BRLO Brwhaus near Potsdamer Platz. We run beginner-friendly and intermediate-level games throughout the afternoon and evening. **Friendly newcomers of all skill levels are welcome, no experience required!** Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. We are usually able to offer two simultaneous games on Sundays. If you are marked as "attending" in Meetup and are in your seat at 15:00, your place is guaranteed for as long as you want to stay. All other seats are first come, first served. We always run at least one beginner-friendly game of the basic version of Clocktower ("Trouble Brewing") throughout the afternoon and evening. We also usually have enough players for a second intermediate-level game. If you are already very familiar with Clocktower, consider also joining our Tuesday meetup for advanced players, when we play with complex custom scripts and characters. Blood on the Clocktower is a deep, mechanical game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception… think Werewolf on steroids. Each player receives a unique secret role and plays either for the good team – the uninformed majority, gathering info and working with others to solve the puzzle – or the evil team, the informed minority, scheming to eliminate good players and protect their demon from execution. In our beginner games no prior experience is expected and we will gladly explain the game rules to any newcomers. We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a “Revolutionary” pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case.
Lazy Saturday Liar Games
Lazy Saturday Liar Games
Saturday afternoon is perfect to play some lazy liar games, if you have nothing better to do. We are a group of friendly people who will teach you how to play these easy social deduction games . Amazing way to meet new people and have some good company during weekend. **IMPORTANT** It's relaxed playing, nothing for ambitious gamers or people who take it too serious. Waiting list policy: When spots open up, we try to bring in a good mix — some regulars we can count on and some new faces to keep things fresh. That means not everyone will get picked every time, but don’t take it the wrong way — it’s just about balance. There’ll always be more chances to join!

Folk Devils - Mask Making Workshop
Folk Devils - Mask Making Workshop
**Welcome to a new Mask-making Workshop!** As Carnival approaches, we are excited to invite you to a new, two-day hands-on mask-making workshop inspired by folk devils, spirits, and popular mythological figures from Latin America and Central America. This workshop combines cultural references, imagination, and craft, inviting participants to create their own expressive folk mask using recycled materials. No previous experience is required. In this context, devils are not symbols of evil. They represent creative **chaos, irony, protection, transformation, and vital force.** These figures often blur the line between human, animal, and spirit, appearing as guardians of the land, playful tricksters, or exaggerated reflections of social power and fear. **Day 1: Symbols, Archetypes & Design** We begin with a short cultural introduction about what the “devil” represents in Latin American folk traditions. We will explore visual examples from traditional masks and popular celebrations: folk spirits, tricksters, and hybrid animal–human figures. We will then choose a personal archetype to work with. Using a template as a base, and through quick sketches, we will design and define: • Expression: rage, irony, mystery, laughter. • Horns, nose, fangs, beard, beaks, ears, snouts • Human, animal, or hybrid forms By the end of Day 1, each participant will have a clear mask concept and begin **building the base structure with recycled cardboard and paper-maché**, which will be left to dry before the second session. **Day 2 — Painting & Finishing** We will bring the masks to life through finishing, colour, textures, and expressive accents. You will get insights on choosing your colour palette, mixing colours and painting with acrylic to get different finishing effects. The workshop closes with a collective sharing moment, where participants can present the character, spirit, or creature behind their mask. **Dates:** Friday 20 + 27.02.26 from 5 to 8PM. **Address:** In Friedrichshain. Exact address by e-mail. **Price:** 110€/ 90€ for regular students. Materials are included as well as drinks and snacks. **Materials:** All basic materials are included (Cardboard, paper, paste, papier-mâché, acrylic colours, fabric and thread, natural elements such as seeds, wood, fibres, or decorative details) We encourage you to bring your unique elements (your own special colours, personal materials or objects, small found items, fabrics, feathers, textures, or symbolic elements connected to your mask) **How to sign up?** Please send an email to **hola.berlinartclub@gmail.com,** and you will receive the registration form with all the details of payment and the exact address. Limited spots. About the teacher: **Rosi Diaz Roigt** is a graphic designer and illustrator with over 7 years of experience working with film production teams, bringing fictional characters to life through graphic design, prop creation, and movie posters. Passionate about art and sustainability, she specialises in exploring the creative possibilities of recycled materials. "A Treachery of Swans" by A.B. Poranek
Can two girls—one enchanted, one the enchantress—save their kingdom and each other? Two hundred years ago, a slighted deity stole the magic from Auréal and vanished without a trace. But seventeen-year-old Odile has a plan. All her life, her father, a vengeful sorcerer, has raised her for one singular task: infiltrate the royal palace and steal the king’s crown, an artefact with enough power to restore magic. But to enter the palace, she must assume the identity of a noblewoman. She chooses Marie d’Odette: famed for her beauty, a rumored candidate for future queen…and Odile’s childhood-friend-turned-sworn-enemy. With her father’s help, Odile transforms Marie into a swan and takes her place at court. But when the king is brutally murdered and her own brother is accused, her plans are thrown into chaos. Desperate to free her brother, Odile is forced to team up with none other than elegant, infuriating Marie, the girl she has cursed…and the girl she can’t seem to stop thinking about despite her best efforts. To make matters worse, there are whispers that the king’s murder was not at the hands of man, but beast. Torn between loyalty to her father and her growing feelings for Marie, Odile becomes tangled in a web of treachery and deceit. To save her kingdom, she must find the true path to magic…and find the real killer before they—or it—strikes again.
