This 4-week program is designed as an introduction to ceramics and its vast creative potential. Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamental hand-building techniques used to construct ceramic objects, developing skills through practice, experimentation, and repetition. We will work with the **pinch, coil, slab, and hollowing techniques**, creating **4-6 pieces in total**. Some forms will be more demanding, such as **jugs and sculptures,** challenging both technical ability and creative thinking. Alongside building, we will explore **surface decoration**, learning to paint with **underglazes (engobes)** and gaining an introduction to **glazes**. By the end of the course, participants will glaze and finish selected pieces created during the program. Das wesentliche Merkmal des kubanischen Stils sind die Drehungen des Tanzpaares um einen gemeinsamen Mittelpunkt und das Kernstück des Salsa Cubana, die Rueda de Casino. Der Name Rueda rührt daher, dass alle beteiligten Paare einen Kreis bilden, wobei sie jeweils synchron die gleichen Figuren tanzen. Bedingt durch Partnerwechsel, die jeweils zu den getanzten Figuren gehören, dreht sich die Rueda bzw. das Rad. Der Kurs für blutige Anfänger oder für Leute, die sich mit den Basic-Elementen noch unsicher fühlen.

**Join us for a refreshing Saturday morning cold-water swim at Katzensee!** We’ll meet at **9:00 AM** at the usual spot by the lake, do a short warm-up, and then go into the water together. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome!
