### Imagined Gardens: Surrealism, watercolours and a lot of magic Inspired by the lush energy of spring, we’ll reimagine nature in unexpected ways: flowers that whisper secrets, fruits that transform, creatures that bloom, and gardens where anything can happen. Communicative, collaborative and creative drawing sessions. Participants draw a central still-life that the group can create themselves until the music track finishes and then pass it to the person on their left. The drawings change hands 3 to 5 times and the end results are always inspiring. After the collaborative warm-up participants can work individually on printing techniques, Mono -printing, tetra-pack or gelli. -printing. Feel free to try out a process that you are unfamiliar with. There will always be somebody to offer advice if necessary Bring A4 paper, and favourite materials, pencils & brushes. You can also use some studio materials in exchange for a small contribution. A fun but informative approach with consistently creative results!

Instead of just taking striking photos, you will deconstruct and replicate the artistic decisions of photography’s greatest masters. The session is divided into three distinct technical blocks based on iconic reference styles: 1. **Terry Richardson & Platon:** Minimalist sets, flat direct flash, and raw, high-contrast emotional energy. 2. **Peter Lindbergh:** Cinematic, soft yet directional window light, unretouched skin texture, and honest human emotion. 3. **Hedi Slimane:** Aggressive digital black-and-white, sharp side-lighting, and cold rock-and-roll decadence. The goal is to understand how light reveals, conceals, separates, and connects. We have one long pose - you can choose whether to draw several studies from different angles around the room, or take your time to do a single sustained drawing or painting in full detail. The pose is held for 20 minute intervals with five minute breaks in-between so the model to rest and stretch, and so artists can move between seats if they choose. We provide some materials such as paper, pencils & pastels for free. Canvases, brushes and acrylic paint can be purchased at the event. We hope to see you there very soon!
