Beachvolley for Beginners - Early Bird session at Beachhalle Zürich Nord 🏐
Beachvolley for Beginners - Early Bird session at Beachhalle Zürich Nord 🏐
Hello everyone, A two-hour slot has opened up tomorrow morning at Beachhalle Nord in Zurich. Early birds, feel free to join! If there are only three of us, we’ll do drills or work on serves and setting. If we are four or more, we’ll be able to play matches. Let's meet at the Raiffeisen court. This event is aimed at everyone that has never played before or a long time ago and is not sure to be able to pass the ball properly over the net or to someone. If you think you're comfortable playing, I invite you to join the advanced events of Marius: https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-avsypajv/. **Tips:** \- Bring a water bottle **A few practical details and participation conditions:** \- A small contribution is required for court rental and other organisational expenses\, please pay before the event via TWINT at \+41784053495 by **writing your name and date of the event** or cash the day of the event. \- Please only sign up through Meetup for an easier organisation \- Please cancel at least 5 hours in advance if you can’t make it\, so others can sign up or I can reschedule the session \- If you don't cancel and do not show\, please cover your share to keep it fair for everyone\. **!No shows!** Lately, there has been quite some no-shows. Therefore, I remind you to please sign out before the event if you're not sure to come. So that people in the waiting list can join instead. The court is not free, any no-show means wasted cost. In case of two no-shows, I have no choice but to impeach you from signing up again by excluding you from the group 😣 **How to reach the court:** 1\. Enter the main building\. The wardrobe will be on your left\. 2\. Cross the main building and go out again\. 3\. Go around the building in front of you by turning left\. You will see the tennis courts on your left\. The entrance is slightly hidden on the right\. 4\. Leave your shoes and belongings in the boxes at the entrance\. If you want to join the Whatsapp group for any updates, events and other activities, let me know after the event 😊

This time we visit the Zurich Zoo. Besides all the outdoor enclosures, the zoo also offers enough warm indoor spaces to capture animals, plants, people or even the zoo architecture in the sketchbook. The Masoala Rainforest Hall, the Kaeng Krachan Elephant Park or of course the Auqarium are probably the biggest examples. We meet already in the zoo, directly after the main entrance. Please plan enough time for the cashier, so that we can start together at 11:00 at the zoo. For those who can't make it until later, I will post the second meeting place for 13:00 during the event below in the comments. 20% DISCOUNT EWZ customers can buy tickets online in advance with 20% discount. COLD WATER PLUNGE - different location
COLD WATER PLUNGE - different location
Welcome cold lovers! We have been practising cold water plunges for over 4 years. We believe in the benefits of cold water exposure. The feeling you get after the swim is magnificent, it makes you feel alive. We have started this group to safely experience the cold water together. We motivate each other, do active warmup exercises, and also share our life stories with a warm coffee/tea afterwards. The event is every Sunday at 11:30 no matter the weather. Take along: a large towel, comfortable bathing suit, flip-flops, and warm clothes (hat, gloves, etc). If you’re planning swimming out take along a bright swim buoy. The event is Free. IMPORTANT: Every participant takes responsibility for themselves when attending this event. Before attempting cold water exposure, individuals with health conditions (e.g., heart problems or hypertension) should seek advice from a healthcare professional. Safely acclimating the body to cold temperatures requires preparation and gradual exposure.
Grief Circle — Remembering Love, From Darkness to Light
Grief Circle — Remembering Love, From Darkness to Light
**A sacred space to honor sorrow, release pain, and remember love** At Yanantin Tribe, we open grief circles where heart, body, and spirit can meet. Inspired by ancestral traditions, we gather in community to carry what was never meant to be held alone. Here, darkness and light are both welcome — grief is not fixed or rushed, but witnessed with care. **Tickets & Support** This grief circle is offered freely as a community space. If you wish to support the continuation of these circles, you can choose the Support Ticket — CHF 25 via Eventfrog. ️Tickets & details: [https://eventfrog.ch/en/p/health-spirituality/health-wellbeing/grief-circle-remembering-love-from-darkness-to-light-7417591177430489924.html](https://eventfrog.ch/en/p/health-spirituality/health-wellbeing/grief-circle-remembering-love-from-darkness-to-light-7417591177430489924.html) A grief ritual is a communal gathering where sorrow is given space and form. We welcome all expressions of grief: personal loss, heartbreak, ancestral wounds, collective pain, or a quiet heaviness without a clear name. Through music, song, rhythm, movement, silence, and guided ritual, grief softens and reveals the love beneath it. **Bring: comfortable clothes, water bottle and your own cup for tea, curiosity** **The experience** * Enter a safe, held circle where all emotions are welcome * You may share, move, cry, sing, or remain silent — no pressure to speak * Place a personal item, photo, or symbol on a shared altar (optional) * Move through ritual practices that allow grief to be witnessed and released * Close with grounding and gentle integration so you leave supported **Why this circle matters** * Release unspoken or long-held grief * Be held without advice or fixing * Honor both sorrow and love * Heal personal, ancestral, and collective layers * **Practical info** * Held every two weeks on Sundays * Free to attend as a community offering * Donations welcome to support the continuation of these circles (entirely optional) * Bring: a token, photo, or personal item for the altar (optional) * Wear: comfortable clothing * Note: if you are in acute crisis or experiencing significant mental health challenges, please inform us so we can support you best * Impressions of past events: [https://yanantintribe.com/events-gallery/](https://yanantintribe.com/events-gallery/) **Additional support** András offers 1:1 grief support, death & dying accompaniment, and end-of-life presence alongside this community work: [https://psysoul.com/death-grief-sessions](https://psysoul.com/death-grief-sessions) This is not therapy. It is a facilitated ritual space rooted in consent, presence, and care. Come exactly as you are. You do not have to carry everything alone. **Personal Support & 1:1 Work with András** If you’re going through a period of transition, grief, burnout, relationship challenges, or feeling stuck, I offer **free 30-min Exploration Calls** to help you gain clarity and see if deeper 1:1 work is right for you. **Book here:** [https://calendly.com/andraskapros/psysoul-exploration-call](https://calendly.com/andraskapros/psysoul-exploration-call) Together, we remember love — and gently move from darkness to light. Begin in Spring – Flow with the New Season
Begin in Spring – Flow with the New Season
In many traditions, Spring, rather than January, is considered the beginning of the year. In this season, nature wakes up from its winter slumber, and life begins again after a period of deep rest. This Sunday, we’ll support body and mind through this seasonal transition. The practice begins with a guided meditation to settle the mind, followed by a gentle Hatha flow to gradually awaken the body. The evening closes with a long Savasana inspired by Yoga Nidra. Students are invited to move, rest, and listen, allowing space for clarity and ease as the new season unfolds, and carrying a sense of gentle continuity from the mat into the week ahead. The class is in English and open to all levels. * Mats & props provided or bring your own * Drop-in rate CHF 38.-, abos and packages available on [studio website](https://www.theyoganest.ch/prices) and Eversports * Please register and purchase a pass via [Yoga Nest Eversports](https://www.eversports.ch/org/widget/6bb2f0f6-b0ff-4d15-84be-5f9229b128f2?venueId=b336fe38-08c9-45ab-a1d8-3255d21ed886)

Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!

See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. (I’ll be the person with the Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you! • What to bring Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible. See you at The Café on Saturday!
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for March is "Our Bodies, Ourselves" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
