Who doesn't love sharing and listening to stories. Storytelling has been the way that we share experiences and inspire each other, ever since humankind has existed. Don’t worry, we know It's a bit too cold to sit outside at the moment, that won't hold us back to find a cozy corner inside for our campfire, enjoy food together and share stories. No slides, no elaborate preparation, just a group of people with interesting experiences around Domain-Driven Design. Join us for a 9km walk in the beautiful East of the Utrecht Region. As the route will be taking us along the Egelmeer lake and Prattenburg estate, you may expect forest mixed with some heathlandscapes, which makes this a great walk if you want to get out in the nature. The start and end point of this walk will be Veenendaal-West train station, where we'll be meeting right next to the platform where the train from Utrecht will arrive. We'll wait for the 10.40AM train to arrive and then depart at around 10.45AM. We begin our journey at Arnhem Central Station and will be rolling into the landscapes of the Veluwezoom, combining historic estates, peaceful forests, and one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Netherlands. We start at Arnhem Central Station, from where we quickly leave the city behind and enter the green oasis of Sonsbeekpark. Here we walk through the beautiful parkland and stop at the Belvedere Toren to enjoy views over the park and surrounding area. From Sonsbeekpark, the route continues to 18th-century Huis Zypendaal, a historic country estate set in a quiet, wooded environment. The hike then leads us deeper into nature as we enter the Waterberg national forest, where forest trails and natural surroundings provide a calm and refreshing atmosphere. We’ll take a short break here (8-9km). We will leave Arnhem behind and make our way to Rozendaal and will visit at Kasteel en Park Rosendael, a beautiful castle estate known for its gardens and water features. This will be our lunch break, with time to relax and enjoy the surroundings. After lunch, the hike continues toward Veluwezoom National Park and pass Rozendaalse Veld and will have a break at the Posbank Paviljoen, one of the highlights of the route. From here, we enjoy a panoramic view over the heathlands and hills of the Veluwezoom—an unforgettable moment and a perfect photo opportunity. The final stretch leads us downhill to Rheden Central Station, where the hike ends and public transport is available for the return journey. **Abstract:** The Advanced Photon Source (APS) is an X-ray light source at Argonne National Laboratory where researchers perform imaging, diffraction and spectroscopy experiments at 68 specialized beamlines. APS recently completed a major upgrade that made it the brightest synchrotron in the world and upgraded many of the beamlines to take advantage of the dramatically brighter, more coherent beam. These new capabilities are increasing the facility’s raw data production from <10 PB/year before the upgrade to >100 PB/year once all instruments are back online. To meet this data challenge, the APS Beamline Data Pipeline project team is partnering with beamline staff to develop and deploy science data pipelines that use a common set of open-source software tools (many written in Python) to link instruments with the Polaris supercomputer at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility (ALCF) for data processing. This talk will describe the APS data systems, our file-based and streaming pipeline templates, and some of the open-source software we use to extract scientific insights from beamline data. **Audience Takeaway:** Open source Python data acquisition and analysis tools are ubiquitous at the APS.
