Ha láttátok/olvastátok az Érkezés című novellából készült filmet, akkor nem lesz meglepő, hogy itt is az író a technikai bravúrok helyett az emberi tényezőkre koncentrál. Ursula K. le Guin: Egy másik történet, avagy a beltenger halásza című kisregénye pedig A megtalált és elveszett I. kötetében szerepel, és bár a Hainish-ciklus világában játszódik, önmagában is értelmezhető. Van szó időtágulásról, az otthon hagyottakról, és persze időutazásról benne.
