This ride is great for advanced beginners ready to try a more challenging ride with a supportive group. We’ll ride on some of the most beautiful roads in the Reserve-- passing by active farms, horses, orchards, woods and streams. We'll ride on paved country roads with very light traffic. Mostly rolling hills with several climbs to challenge you. Best suited for road bikes or a hybrid that can tackle hills. This is NOT an official **Bike Rockville with RBAC** ride but a joint effort with our local Trek shop. Join the **Trek Rockville store** for casual ride to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ Pride Month! This will be a 7-mile ride on neighborhood streets and trails. We'll stop at Norby's cafe on Bauer Drive for a quick rest before heading back to the store for some more snacks. Rockville Bike Party goes to Hometown Holidays

We’ll pedal our way through scenic routes and quiet neighborhoods, ending at Rockville Town Square just in time to enjoy live music, food vendors, and family-friendly activities. We’ll take a safe, mostly flat, [4-mile route](https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54739275) using bike-friendly streets, and off street trails. During the route, we will pass by 2 of Rockville's Bike Counters, which record data for the city's Public Works department. Helmets required. All ages are welcomed. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring water, a lock, and money if you plan to buy food or drinks at the festival. Parking on Sundays is free at the Twinbrook Station if you bring your bike in your car. This will be a one-way ride so everyone can enjoy the festivities at Hometown Holidays. The Rockville Metro is available for those who want to return to Twinbrook. Let’s kick off the summer season with good company, great weather, and a celebration in the heart of Rockville! Do you want to be in a Parade? Now is your chance!! This is not a bike ride but a volunteer opportunity. The Rockville Bike Advisory Committee (RBAC) will be marching in the City's Memorial Day Ceremony and Parade! Come join us and share the biking spirit! We need adult volunteers to carry the banner. Children and adults can bring their own bikes to march along. We CANNOT ride our bikes in the parade. We will be walking with them. RBAC is is position #51. Martins Lane will be closed to cars but marchers can enter at Mannakee Street. The parade procession starts at 10:30 am. This year's parade theme is "The Magic of America". Feel free to decorate your bike with red, white and blue and a little sparkle. Parade judges will be located throughout the parade route. Our group will be judged on a variety of items including, but not limited to: formation/alignment, appearance/costumes, overall performance, props/equipment, originality and sound. It will be a great showing of biking in Rockville!
