Fine Ethnic Cuisine - the Peruvian adventure
Most of us would know peruvian cuisine for its famous civeche, but there're actually lots more delicious seafood, meat and vegetable dishes to discover. This is a small delightful restaurant serving refined peruvain cuisine with an impressive wine list. Please do not sign up unless you are sure to attend. Late cancellations or no shows will be deleted from the group immediately.

Time for a - well overdue - start to the 26 cycling season. Kick off with a standard loop down to the beautiful lakes of Potsdam, Werder. Stopping at my favourite beer gardens for a late lunch and swim for those who want to. If the mood is right we might even catch a band at the Weder Bluten Fest as we loop back to Potsdam station. We will meet on Templehof, head out down the Teltopw canal towards Potsdam, then down to the lunch stop near Caputh. Plenty of opportunities to drop and get the train home for those who need to be home early or don't want to cycle so far. **The Cycling** We are a not a racing bike group, but the pace is reasonable. Expect between 18 and 22 km per hour depending on who comes on the day. Bring a good bike (doesn’t have to be special just in good order. All sports bikes can take part from tour bike, racers to mountain bikes. Heavy 3 speed city bikes would not be appropriate however). **What to Bring** Bring swim stuff, suncream, spare inner tube for your tyre size, cash, waterproofs SNACKS **The Route** See you there Simon
Seasons opening - Cycle & dine - Holly's Galeriecafé
Seasons opening - Cycle & dine - Holly's Galeriecafé
========== FACTS ========== ROUTE: Erkner > Hartmannsdorf > Müggelsee > Friedrichshagen LEVEL: Easy-peasy DISTANCE: 40km MEETING POINT: 11:00 outside Erkner train station REQUIREMENTS: A proper bike (see RECOMMENDATIONS below)! FAQ: Ask me! ========== FACTS ========== ========= DETAILS ========= **ROUTE:** You can't say you have lived your life to the fullest when you haven't been at Holly's Galeriecafé. Her story of being nearly blind but baking and serving delicious cakes for a very fair price is widely known and she's the stop for many, not only cyclists. What is known only to those who have been there is the atmosphere, and the taste, of course! A very simple life and setup shows that there IS something more than the daily trouble a city slicker may encounter. Do you want to experience that? Then enjoy life and come on a ride with us! We start in Erkner, right outside the train station and follow solid only paths for about 14 km until we reach the Cafe. Unfortunately the Deutsche Bahn is sticking with its tradition to mess up my rides by interrupting trains. So we just head back from Hartmannsdorf to Berlin via Müggelsee and (I) end up in Friedrichshagen. Anyone who hasn't burned enough calories can continue further to (their) home. **SPEED:** Leisurely around 14 km/h. This is like "Being able to see the details on the side of the road and enjoying the view in general." **DISTANCE AND TERRAIN:** This is an about 40ish km ride, with mostly solid paths in the beginning but also some soft/forrest ground after the break. Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Fixies), rented bikes (Uber, Swapfiets) or any special bikes (Folding bikes, BMX etc.) are not suitable! You won't have fun, trust me! And if you want to bring Kids or Animals please get in touch before! **MEETING POINT:** 11:00 - outside Erkner train station I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike and may wear some greenish clothes. **TICKET:** To Erkner, is still in ABC, so 5,00 per Person. Please don't forget to get your "VBB network"-bike ticket: [24-hour ticket bicycle Berlin ABC](https://www.vbb.de/en/tickets/tickets-for-your-bicycle/24-hour-ticket-bicycle/#c36205) for 6,70 EUR **WAY OUT (Me):** 10:17 - dep. Berlin Ostbahnhof. platform 1, taking S3 10:50 - arr. Erkner Feel free to choose your means of transportation! **WAY BACK (Me):** 17:16 - dep. Friedrichshagen, taking S§ 17:37 - arr. Berlin Ostbahnhof This train runs every 10 Minutes **RECOMMENDATIONS:** Please make sure your bike is in a proper state! Check your tyre pressure and oil the chain! Does your light work? Having a toolset is highly recommended and a spare inner tube suitable for your tyres to fix a flat tyre a big plus! While we might be able to help in some circumstances please think about what happens if we can't! Thank you! Bringing special equipment (Helmet, safety vest etc.) is NOT required but welcome if you feel more safe using it. And don't forget some liquids for yourself, one way or the other! ========= DETAILS =========
Early bird bike ride: Warschauer Str → H. Neuendorf along Berlin Wall (~40 km)
Early bird bike ride: Warschauer Str → H. Neuendorf along Berlin Wall (~40 km)
Early bird ride: Warschauer Str → Hohen Neuendorf along the Berlin Wall Trail. Start your Sunday with a morning ride along the historic Mauerweg. We'll cycle from Warschauer Straße heading north to Hohen Neuendorf, following the path where the Berlin Wall once stood. The route is flat, mostly paved, and takes us through the city, along the former border strip, through forests, and past memorials and remnants of the that era. Any bike type works. No special experience needed - you just should be comfortable riding 40 km at your own pace. From Hohen Neuendorf, you can take the S-Bahn back — it connects directly to the Ringbahn and city center. Easy return! • Start: S-Bahn Warschauer Straße • End: S-Bahn Hohen Neuendorf • Distance: \~40 km • Terrain: Flat, mostly paved bike paths • Pace: The one you're comfortable with — we're here to enjoy a beautiful start to the day. We keep moving but it's not a race • Recommended to bring: water, a snack, and sunscreen • Equipment: Up to you but you're responsible for your own safety. We'll stop for coffee/breakfast along the way (pay your own). This is Part 1 of our Berlin Wall Trail series. Part 2 continues from Hohen Neuendorf to Spandau later this summer! See you bright and early! 🚲
Spikeball at Hasenheide ☀️ 🌴
Spikeball at Hasenheide ☀️ 🌴
**Join us for spikeball at a sunny spot in the Hasenheide park!** Everyone from beginners to intermediate players is welcome. If you are a try-hard pro, this event is not for you. Spikeball is played with four people. The rules are like two vs two volleyball, except instead of hitting a ball *over* a net, you’ll be hitting the ball *onto* the net. The ball will bounce off the net, and the other team will have a chance to return it. You do not need to bring any equipment. Sports clothing, shoes that allow for quick movement on grass, and a drink are recommended. DM J to get an invite link to our WhatsApp group. **Location**: We meet at our usual playing location, close to Café Hasenschänke, inside Hasenheide park. See the map pin. We'll be next to the two volleyball nets from this volley meetup [https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/](https://www.meetup.com/berlin-volley/events/). You cannot join the volley group by signing up for spikeball. **Payment:** This event is free, but we invite you to make a donation of 1 EUR towards the equipment. **Attending**: Do not join if you have an infectious disease. **Safety**: Mind the terrain. The grass might be uneven and contain dangerous items like glass and bottle caps. Be careful not to twist your ankle. Please keep a close eye on your belongings, as we are in a public park. We do *not* have a full first aid kit available. Please inform the organizer of any medical conditions that might require attention during the event. Pictures might be taken and shared publicly, such as on Meetup or Instagram. You can opt out by letting the organizer know you do not wish to be photographed. By RSVP'ing to this event, you acknowledge and agree to the following: Participation in this spikeball event is at your own risk. The organizer is not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage sustained during the event, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. You are aware of the inherent risks involved in spikeball at the park and voluntarily assume these risks.
