Join us for a community ride-out as we make our way to the [Toyota Connected in Mobility Showcase at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza](https://www.toyota.com.sg/toyota-connected-in-mobility), Singapore's flagship sustainability event celebrating greener ways to move through our city.

1️⃣ I acknowledge, agree, and represent that I understand the nature of bicycling activities and that I am qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate. I understand the ride-out will be conducted on public pavements and facilities open to the public, where travel hazards are expected. If at any time I believe conditions to be unsafe, I will immediately discontinue participation.
2️⃣ I fully understand that:
• (a) Bicycling involves risks and dangers of serious bodily injury, including permanent disability, paralysis, and death (“Risks”).
• (b) These Risks may result from my own actions, those of others, the conditions of the ride, or negligence.
• (c) There may be other unforeseen Risks or losses.
• (d) I fully accept and assume all such Risks and responsibilities for any losses, costs, or damages I may incur as a result of participating.
• (e) I acknowledge that **Brompton Bicycle will not be liable** for any accidents or damages occurring during the ride-out.

Participants should **ride in a single file** at all times, keeping a **safe braking distance** and **look out and give priority to pedestrians**.
Participants recognise that cycling can be **strenuous and must ensure they are in good health and have the required fitness level** for the ride.
Participants are to **ensure their bikes are in proper riding condition, with working brakes, wheels properly inflated, font and rear reflectors/lights fitted** according to LTA regulations, and **wearing of helmets** and **appropriate cycling clothing/footwear**.
Weekend Social & Leisure Riders is a not for **profit, social interest group**. While the Organisers do their best to facilitate a safe ride, participants who join our rides do so **at their own risk** and **accept full responsibility for their safety** during the event.
By joining our rides, participants accept that the organisers are not **responsible or liable for any injury, accident, death or other unforeseen incidents, nor loss or damage to your belongings/equipment**, and that you agree also for **yourself, your heirs, executors and administrators to waive any claims** associated with the afore-mentioned.
Organisers reserve the right to **amend, postpone or cancel the event at any time, as well as not to allow a participant to take part or continue the event** for various reasons, not limited to: **late turnout, unsuitable clothing/footwear, unsafe cycling equipment, un-roadworthy bicycle condition, unsuitable fitness level/health issues or inappropriate behaviour**.

RUMBLE (MAY SERIES)
Welcome back to Rumble. This year our focus is to help you climb stronger, descend safer, and move more confidently on hikes. We’ll keep our 4 core stations — feet and calves, engine, climbing strength, and downhill control — so you can actually feel progress over the weeks, not just get through a workout!
**Meeting Place:** as seen in the image (Right next to Old Hill Street Police Station; opposite Funan)

**Level:** Intermediate
**What to expect:**
1. Warm-up & dynamic stretching
1. Stamina, Stability and Single Leg strengthening exercises with Stairs/Steps :)
1. Jogging/briskwalking between stations
**Items to bring/wear**
* comfortable sports attire and appropriate shoes
* (Arm-length) Towel and water bottle
* Most of us will be carrying our bags as part of hike training (you can choose to leave them in your car if you’re driving or bring a small bag)
Make sure you are able to run with your bag! (e.g. BACKPACK)
**Note:**
* In the event of wet weather, the event will be cancelled. However, if it is just a light drizzle, we may still proceed with caution or head to AU office for Signature Indoor Workout.
* If you will be late or unable to make it, please inform me in advance (WA +6597318648) or update your RSVP by 8 p.m. the night before so that I can inform the next person on the waitlist.
* We’re capping this at **20 pax per session** so it stays focused and manageable.
* Priority will go to 2026 AU trip participants and Elite AU club members. If there are slots left, it will be given to members of the publi.c If you’re on the waitlist, it may not move strictly in order as trip participants are prioritised.
We will start on time so come at least 5 minutes earlier!

TRAINING HIKE: Rucking at MacRitchie Loop + Treetop Walk
**Get Ready for the Mountains**
For all adventure seekers training for your next trek, or simply be always ready for one! Join me and our trip participants for a training hike:
Meet/End: MacRitchie Reservoir, outside Gink-Go Cafe (formerly Mushroom Cafe)
Distance: ~12km
Duration: \~2.5-3 hours
**Note that this is not a leisure hike. We will be fast-hike at 4.5-5km/hour for the 11km-loop.**
**Ruck It Up**
Rucking is simply walking/hiking with a weighted pack on your back. Rucking builds muscle and strength while improving cardio & endurance and well… burn up more calories! A day pack of +/-5kg will be a good start, or more for that multi-day trek. Loading up is optional; especially if you may have any health or medical restrictions. We can do a weigh-in of your pack for your own progress tracking if you are up for it.
**NOTE:**
* advised to have some light breakfast before the workout
* bring sufficient water and food/snacks for refuel. water refill point available at around halfway mark.
* Waterproof your items and be rain-equipped (rain cover, rain jacket, poncho, umbrella, etc.)
* Hiking poles (optional)
*In case of Cat 1 (bad weather); any change of plans will be announced on the morning of hike*

Hike Blendon Woods Metro Park
Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Sharon Woods HIKE
Hi ladies. Let's hike the edward thomas trail, lake trail , spring creek and a short walk on the multi purpose trail. This is one large loop . Wear your shoe of choice.
Meet in the Maple Grove Picnic area. 4.2 miles in length .
Three Creeks Metro Park
We'll get in around 4 miles at Three Creeks Metro Parks, primarily natural trails. 17-18 minute miles, no one left behind, and faster walkers are free to lead out.
Optional lunch after!
If you're joining for hiking all the metro parks, this is the sixth one!
Walnut Woods
We'll hike four miles at Walnut Woods, which is generally a pretty easy hike - doing the Sweetgum Trail Loop and then out and back on the Monarch Loop to get us to 4 miles. Pace around 17-18 minute miles with no one left behind, and faster walkers can lead out ahead.
Optional lunch at Brewdog or Canal Winchester.
