Bring a water bottle (there is a tap nearby), sunscreen, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for running around in - and that you don't mind getting a bit dirty! Recommend but not required items include: sunglasses, football boots, kneepads, and gloves if you have them. You don't need any of these to get started, but you may find you want them if you become a regular. **✅ Are there any costs are involved?** Our training sessions are **free to attend** as often as you like, we are essentially just a group of friends that meet for training and socializing on the weekend. The Australian Jugger League has a voluntary annual membership that helps to support the sport (including maintaining equipment and paying for Meetup), and we encourage people to join once they become a regular attendee or begin attending tournaments. **[[WHAT]]** This session is for social volleyball games where there will be 8 teams of 6 per court across 3 courts. Please arrive on time as there will warm-up time provided for 20-25 minutes at 1 PM while the hosts set up the nets. Games will be played to 15 points, the session will be organised as a 'king-of-the-court' session with a high, middle, and low court. Players will move up and down the courts as their team wins or loses. **[[WHO]]** The session is intended for social volleyball players at the intermediate level. Players should: * Understand basic volleyball rules (3 touches, foot faults, etc.) * Call for the ball when playing and communicate well * Ready to learn (or already know) 5-1 system * Efficient in passing/hitting/setting/serving * Have minimal unforced errors (missed serves, etc..) * Have control over their play around the net and centre line If you are uncomfortable with the base fundamentals, we recommend coming to our beginner training sessions on Friday 6-9PM or Saturday 2-5PM. **[[HOW MUCH]]** $21 card payment will be collected on the day via square (EFTPOS) payment. Payments will be collected prior to game play during warm up. **[[WHEN]]** Sunday afternoon from 1 PM- 4 PM. However, feel free to come early and stretch as Unimelb Sport is open earlier. **Last minute dropouts and no-shows will have a zero-tolerance policy going forward.** All players are expected to update their RSVP at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend.
