Its 2026! Lets run!! Come and run on Saturday morning. We can always hope for crisp sunny weather, whatever the weather, anything other than torrential rain, and we will run! Stretch your legs on Saturday morning with the three parks run in the north of Berlin. We meet on Brunnenstraße across the street from Gesundbrunnen Bhf at the edge of Volkspark Humboldthain, see the map pin! From there we run towards Mauerpark, then towards Pankow along the Mauerweg. Then through Bürgerpark Pankow and back along the Panke towards Volkspark Humboldthain. The route takes about an hour, depending on our pace Highlights: \- Volkspark Humboldthain steps to the top of Flakturm \- Mauerpark grafiti wall \- Mauerweg \- Little Sandbox \- Trail running \- Bürgerpark Pankow \- Saying hi to the goats in the park :\) \- Panke \(river\) \- Only 1 traffic light \(to cross Osloerstr\.\) We have some options to do and usually do some altitude, i.e. stairs, in the Humboldthain park and "hill" in Mauerpark! :) We have a few variations of the route that we sometimes do to keep things interesting, they add up to the same distance. Starting at 10:25 from the medieval Marktplatz, you’ll first dive into the **Water** element 🌊 hiking around Straussee. This lake has been the town’s heartbeat since 1225, once acting as a giant "moat" for the knights of the Old Town of Strausberg! By midday, you'll leave the waves behind and enter the **Wood** element 🌲 at the Postbruch nature reserve. This marshy forest was once a prime hunting ground for Prussian royals, with any luck it's snowy canopy will make it feel like a Winter Stronghold ❄️. The final leg of your quest moves to the **Earth** element 🪵 with a climb up the Marienberg. This hill is packed with history, it used to hold a towering Bismarck monument and has watched over Strausberg through its days as a famous garrison city. We are taking the S5 from Ostkreuz at 09:37 to S Strausberg **Stadt** **and not S Strausberg or S Strausberg Nord** leaving arriving at 10:22. Aiming to be in the front carriage of the S-Bahn. We meet at Northwest corner of Siegessäule ( previous Cafe Viktoria. )We will run around the Tiergarten for 6kms. After the first round with the "Tiergarten Running Group", and if you still like us 😉 and feel like it, you can join in for a second loop of 6km. The second loop is optional. We will do around 3.5 miles on the paved trail. Toni will be leading at the front - around 16 minute mile - and I’ll be bringing up the rear closer to a 19 minute mile (or as appropriate). No one left behind. Optional lunch at Paddock Pub.
