Sunday Tech Coffee Meetup
Welcome to Sunday Tech Coffee. This is a **networking** event for those in the tech industry in Berlin.
Table 5d
Lesen. Schreiben. Teilen.

We play every Sundayâyear-roundâand are looking for a few players who are willing to join regularly. Average age is around 27-50.
We play on grass using poles as goals, which allows us to adjust the field and goal size depending on the number of players. Please arrive on time, as we need to divide the teams.
Game starts 11:30 sharp.
ACX Spring Meetups Everywhere 2026
Let's meet for the [ACX Spring Meetups Everywhere 2026](https://www.astralcodexten.com/p/meetups-everywhere-spring-2026-times) in the Humboldthain!
This will likely be a big meetup, as it was announced by Scott on ACX. From experience, I expect 25â50 attendees.
Humboldthain is good to reach by public transport; the next train stops are S+U Gesundbrunnen and S Humboldthain.
If youâre reading this, youâre invited. Please donât feel like you "won't be welcome" just because youâre new to the blog, demographically different from the average reader, or hate ACX and everything it stands for. You'll be fine!
I'll buy some snacks; feel free to bring something to share as well. There are also many restaurants around if you get hungry.
Location: Big lawn at the center of Humboldthain â [https://plus.codes/9F4MG9WP+36](https://plus.codes/9F4MG9WP+36)

Hi,

Blood on the Clocktower at Manifesto! (beginner/intermediate)
Hi folks, this is the meetup group for the weekly Sunday Blood on the Clocktower games in the Soot bar in Manifesto at Potsdamer Platz. We run beginner-friendly and intermediate-level games throughout the afternoon and evening. **Friendly newcomers of all skill levels are welcome, no experience required!**
Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players donât take themselves or the game too seriously, whether theyâre heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration â âkilling with grace, and dying with dignityâ.
We are usually able to offer two simultaneous games on Sundays. If you are marked as "attending" in Meetup and are in your seat at 15:00, your place is guaranteed for as long as you want to stay. All other seats are first come, first served. We always run at least one beginner-friendly game of the basic version of Clocktower ("Trouble Brewing") throughout the afternoon and evening. We also usually have enough players for a second intermediate-level game. If you are already very familiar with Clocktower, consider also joining our Tuesday meetup for advanced players, when we play with complex custom scripts and characters.
Blood on the Clocktower is a deep, mechanical game of murder and mystery, lies and logic, deduction and deception⊠think Werewolf on steroids. Each player receives a unique secret role and plays either for the good team â the uninformed majority, gathering info and working with others to solve the puzzle â or the evil team, the informed minority, scheming to eliminate good players and protect their demon from execution. In our beginner games no prior experience is expected and we will gladly explain the game rules to any newcomers.
We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a âRevolutionaryâ pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case.
We are very grateful to the wonderful folks at Manifesto for hosting our meetup! **Please support the venue during your visit by buying drinks and/or food.**

Monthly Book Club Meeting - May
Dear Book Enthusiasts,
For our May gathering, weâll be reading ***Broken April*** by the Albanian writer **Ismail Kadare**.
First published in 1978, this powerful novel is set in the remote highlands of northern Albania, where life is governed by the ancient Kanun â a strict code of customary law that regulates honor, hospitality, and blood feuds. The story follows a young man who has just committed a killing required by the code and now lives through the brief, suspended days before vengeance inevitably returns. Through this stark and poetic narrative, Kadare explores fate, tradition, violence, and the quiet tragedy of lives bound by inherited laws.

\- 11:00\-11:30 \- Meet & greet
\- 11:30\-12:30 \- Silent focus time
\- 12:30 \- Discussion of books/ projects over coffee
Afterwards, join for lunch if you'd like (optional).
**Drinks & snacks are included** âïž
* **To reserve your place, a ticket (âŹ9,90/event) or a community pass (only âŹ17,90/MONTH) [from the website ](https://pausify.org/)*www.pausify.org* is required**
* **Attendance here doesnât show all sign-ups from other platforms. We usually have about 50 to 100 people at each event.**
***FAQ: Why does it cost money if I bring my own project?***
Because we rent a beautiful, central space for every event. Ever thought your monthly apartment rent was too high? Well, multiply that â thatâs what commercial spaces in big cities like Berlin cost *per hour*.
Of course, if all you want is just some quiet time, your home or a library is perfect. But if youâd like to focus & connect with others in an inspiring space â with drinks, snacks included â thatâs what your ticket helps to cover.

Chitta Walks - Awareness in Motion
Chitta Walks is for people whose days move fast, while the mind never fully lands. Thoughts keep looping even when nothing is urgent. The body moves, but attention is elsewhere. Over time, this disconnect drains clarity and ease.
This walk is a simple reset.
We meet in Berlinâs Tiergarten and walk at a gentle pace. Parts of the walk are in silence, with light guidance and a few short prompts. The walk itself is the practice, bringing body and mind back into the same moment.
No apps. No performance. Just a clear space to slow down and notice what is happening.
If you want to slow down without withdrawing from life, join a Chitta Walk.
âš **What to expect (approx. 90 minutes):**
* A short arrival and orientation
* A guided silent walk (phones off, no conversation)
* One concise science-based impulse on attention or stress
* Optional reflection in pairs or small groups
* A simple takeaway or experiment for daily life
đ¶**Who this is for:**
* Professionals, creatives, and people in transition.
* People who feel mentally busy and want more clarity and balance.
* Those curious about mindfulness, but grounded and practical.
* Anyone comfortable with silence and gentle self observation.
đ **Practical notes:**
* Duration: 60-90 minutes
* Wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
* No prior experience needed
* Group size is limited to keep the space quiet and focused
đ§ **Facilitator:**
My name is Partha Sarathi, you can call me PS. I have lived in Berlin for over 12 years. With a background in physics and materials science, my interest in mindfulness grew through personal experience with stress and health challenges. I facilitate the space and structure of the walk, inviting shared exploration rather than instruction.
đ€ **Why Chitta Walks?**
Chitta is a Sanskrit word referring to the mind or field of awareness, used here in a practical, non-religious sense.
Chitta Walks is about noticing how the mind works by slowing down and walking together. Mindful walking makes thought patterns visible in real time, while moving and sensing in the world.
The name points to a simple capacity: noticing what is happening in the mind without immediately trying to fix, judge, or optimize it.
đż **Possible effects:**
A calmer nervous system.
Clearer attention.
A felt sense of being more present in your body.
Subtle insights into how your mind reacts under everyday conditions.
A quieter, more grounded way of moving through the city.
**Come as you are. Walk. Notice. Leave with a little more space inside.**

SU&W Sunday, in-person at Schöneberg
Hello fellow writers,
This is our Sunday meet-up at café Peppe.
Come along, grab a coffee, shut up, and write!
There will be two sessions of writing, each lasting 45 minutes, and two breaks.
\- The first writing session will start at 10:45 am\.
\- Second session will start at 11:45 am\.
PS: We have limited space of 18 peoples. Please sign up accordingly.
See you all on Sunday.
Creating Stories Together
Ever thought, "I like writing, but sometimes I wish I could create stories with people instead of alone"? In this meetup we'll be taking a short creative journey together. We'll start with some short warm ups to get us into the collaborative story-making frame of mind and then, in small groups, we'll create basic character sketches together. We'll then play around with these characters in collaborative stories with a little bit of randomness and some prompting.
It's going to be a mix of a lot of talking along with some writing. It'll be fun, collaborative and pretty fast-paced.
Because we're building each step of this together, there's no "minimum requirement" for writing or storytelling experience. You just need to be keen to be collaborative and imaginative with other people. There's a thought-out set of guidelines to steer us for the event, so you don't have to worry about what to do and can just focus on being creative.
I'll bring everything you need, so you don't need to bring anything.
We'll start at **15h00 sharp -** so please get to Cafe Augusta earlier; I'll be there from 14h30. We'll be done by roughly 16h30. I'll put a little sign on the table that says "Making Stories Together". **If the weather's nice and sunny we might move the meetup outside at 15h00.**
**Please only RSVP if you will definitely come.** Spaces are limited and I need to reserve a table for enough people. Please cancel your RSVP at least 48h before if you can't make it.
The event will be in English.

Version Control for Unity
This meetup is a beginner-friendly session introducing version control for Unity projects, with a look at three common tools: Git, Perforce, and Unity Version Control. The goal is to help you understand what version control is, why it matters for Unity development, and what options are out there.
The format will likely be presentation-style, with live demos and time for questions throughout. You'll see each tool in action and learn how they fit into a Unity workflow.
What to Expect:
* An introduction to version control and why it's essential for Unity projects
* An overview of Git, Perforce, and Unity Version Control
* Demos of each tool in a Unity workflow
* Tips for getting started
* No prior version control experience required
* Resources for continued learning
All experience levels are welcome. Whether you're new to version control or already using one of these tools, this session will help you understand what each one offers.
Food and drinks provided. Join us to learn more about version control options for Unity.

Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs.
This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing.
