A lovely session of music and song in a relaxed and supportive environment. All levels of musician and singer welcome. You can come and sing or play one song or just come and listen to the other members. Great way to build up your playing skills and build up your confidence. We don't pay the bar for this session, so make sure you buy at least one drink. Charge €2.

TOG will be open on Tuesday evenings from 19:00 to 21:30 for a general Open House event. Expect to find members and visitors in the space up to all sorts of activities. It's a great time to drop in and see what the space is about. If you're an artist, tinkerer, maker or just plain curious, come in and see what the space is about. Maybe you already have something to work on (or want to), have something to fix, create, design, bodge or tinker... drop in. We're also open for just for plain old social chat and hang out, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. We have lots of free parking right outside our door.

We are at the final segment of our topical triad of philosophical subjects that tell a story. In January we dealt with 'the soul' and what is a human being. In February, we had a conversation about 'evil' and what might be wrong with us and our world. This month we are having a discussion about 'hope' and what might make things right. Where does hope fit into a desired future. If hope has to do with a desired future, what is the relationship between the object of hope and the act of hope. What degree of plausibility should be attached to hope? How do our desires of a future state relate to its viability. What role does hope play in our own persons? What role does it play with society at large? What is the comparison between optimism and hope? What role might hope play as a catalyst for change? Does ‘always looking on the bright side of life’ make sense? How does a dissatisfaction with the present lay a foundation for hope in a ‘better’ future? It is a pilot workshop for Stripe Sessions, and attendees will get early access to technology and workflows that are still very new inside Stripe. The way customers discover and purchase products is shifting from traditional search to LLM-powered agents. This is one of our performance sessions. Microphones, PA, Speakers and lights on a stage setting. These sessions give members the opportunity to perform in public, so you can bring along your friends and family to see you perform. There are limited performance spaces so the first 20 performers will get a slot on the night. Please note this is only open to members that attend our weekly Meetup sessions on a regular enough basis. Each performer should have 2 songs and an additional back up just in case we are running ahead of time on the night. I suggest you update the comment field with your song list so others can avoid duplication. We booked the room in The Halfway House, Ashtown, Navan Road.
