Rise Up: Resurrection Sunday Musiciansβ Call to Anointing
Date & Time: Sunday, April 5, 2026 5pm to 7pm
Venue: JLOJ REVIVAL HUB LLP
1 Irving Place #09-12 The Commerze@Irving S369546
This Resurrection Sunday, we aren't just celebrating an empty tombβwe are calling for a resurrection of the gifts within our music ministry. We believe that the highest level of musical skill is only a vessel; the true power comes from a healed inner being.
We are inviting all musiciansβwhether you are currently serving or have been waiting for the right moment to step forwardβto "Rise Up" and experience a fresh oil of anointing.
Why Attend?
Healing for the Artist: Before we play for the congregation, we must be whole before God. This service focuses on laying down inner challenges at His feet to receive clarity and spiritual authority.
Experience how a "clear vessel" allows the Holy Spirit to flow through your instrument, turning music into a tool for deliverance and transformation.
We are actively seeking instrumentalists to join our team. Come see how your technical talent can be paired with a deep spiritual calling.
We stand on Psalm 33:3, committing to play skillfully with a heart that has been made new by the Resurrection.
Who Should Join?
If you have a heart for worship and a desire to see God use your musical talents for His glory, we want to meet you. Whether you play the keys, drums, guitar, or sing, there is a place for your gift to be restored and released.
How to Get Involved
Please join us for the service and stay for a brief Creative Interest Meeting after service.
We will discuss the vision for the upcoming season and how you can begin your journey with the worship team.

**For ages 8 and above.**
These 3 traditional martial art forms will be taught during the 2 hour class:
* Kalaripayattu
* Silambattam
* Adimurai
**About Kalaripayattu**
Thought to be one of the most ancient martial arts in recorded history, Kalaripayattu is derived from two words, βKalariβ signifying battlefield or arena and βpayattuβ which translates to the words βpracticeβ and βexerciseβ.
**About Silambattam**
Hailing from the region of Tamil Nadu (India) where it emerged around 1000 BCE, Silamabattam is a popular variant of weapon-based martial arts which is performed with the aid of specific weapons, primarily Rattan staffs, short sticks, deer horns and swords.
**About Adimurai**
Adimurai is a generic term applied for the indigenous martial arts of the Indian/Tamilian archipelago. Adimurai in general refers to the sport of using techniques derived from Indian and Tamil martial-arts. It uses kicks and boxing-mannered punches to defeat an opponent in ways that are analogous to standard present-day boxing. The manipulation of joints as well as certain locking techniques also form the basis of Adimurai.

Contra dance with Big Scioty April 11 - Clinton Heights Lutheran church
**Caller: Kim Thompson**
**Band: Full Moon Country Dance Orchestra**
**Clinton Heights Lutheran Church**
**15 Clinton Heights Ave, Columbus, OH 43202**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like youβve seen in period films such as βPride and Prejudiceβ, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. Thatβs English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like βswing your partnerβ and βdo-si-do,β like youβve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alΓ‘ βRiverdance.β Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THATβs Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/)
Please bring your own refillable water bottle.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for April is "Water"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
