The exhibition will be divided into three parts, specially designed for the impressive spaces of the institute, a major architectural complex from the late 16th and early 17th centuries. The Baroque chapel will display works that chart a very long and important period in the master's career, from the 1930s to the early 1970s, from metaphysical architecture, through vedutes of Venice to famous Italian squares. The chapter hall will display a significant selection of works dedicated to de Chirico's so-called "baroque" phase, from paintings of horses and riders to still lifes, which the artist liked to call "quiet lives". The last part, located in the foyer, will present the artist's work in the field of graphics, to which he attached great importance. Drawings, sketches, lithographs and engravings from the archive of the great printer Alberto Caprini, with whom the master had a long relationship based on mutual respect and collaboration, will be exhibited. On display will be around 60 works from important Italian and European private collections. There will be references to de Chirico's previous stays in Prague, his friendship with the great Czech painter Jan Zrzavý, and a tribute to the master by Mario Schifano, a significant figure in Italian and international art of the second half of the 20th century. Hi All, Come and join us for social running and a coffee! We meet at the main gate of Vystaviste - tram stop Vystaviste Holesovice. We will run in Stromovka. Usually we run around 50mins and it is up to everyone how many kilometres. We welcome all levels of runner. We can all run together or, if there is more of us, we can split into groups and at the end of the run we all meet close to the starting point to go for a coffee to a nice local coffee place (where they also sell cakes and great chocolate). If the weather is great, we can also just sit in one of the outside coffee placces in Stromovka and enjoy the sun.
