Some Sundays don’t end at lunch. After the garden BBQ event we do every Sunday ([link here](https://www.meetup.com/the-club-connect-share-explore-enjoy-repeat/events/313489633)), a smaller group usually stays around, and the evening slowly takes its own direction. Sometimes we play cards. (Uno, Undercover) Sometimes we go for a game of pool. Sometimes we end up exploring a bar or dancing somewhere in the city. There is no fixed plan. Spring is doing its yearly cameo in Brussels, so we’re stealing the good weather for a **garden BBQ**: grill smoke, laughs, games of cards, new friends, and language switching mid-sentence like civilized chaos. Hi Runners, The countdown continues! After a fantastic first session, it’s time to step things up. Whether you’re a seasoned veteran of the Cinquantenaire finish line or a first-timer, there’s no substitute for time on the actual course. For our second preview run, we will follow the route along Avenue Louise and the loop at the Bois de La Cambre. This time we will skip Av. Tervuren. We have a review meeting of the Brussels Saint Patrick's Day of the Nations & Regions that took place on Sunday 15 March. The meeting is on Sunday 29th March at 12.30 at Les Halles Saint Géry. We will review all aspects of the Parade. All our Volunteers are invited to provide their feedback. Join us for a beautiful **day trip to Monschau**, one of the most charming historic villages in the German Eifel region. With its **half-timbered houses, narrow cobbled streets, and river valley scenery**, Monschau feels like stepping into a fairy tale. Only about **2 hours from Brussels**, it’s a perfect destination for a relaxed **nature hike followed by a cozy lunch together in town**. A fun way to compare wines from two different countries at a time. House Wine is squaring off two countries' wines against each other each Thursday in March. March 12, March 19, March 26, and the Finals April 2nd. Meet and Greet format....show up after 7pm, pay your $15 at the cash register, get your wine glass, and enjoy. If you can't make the hike, we should be there by noon. **How to find our starting point in Big Meadows:** If you are new to Highbanks, the Big Meadows picnic area is 1.5 miles into the park just after you turn into the park off of U.S. Route 23. That is, after you enter the park, drive a mile and a half into the park. You will come to a crosswalk with a yield sign in the middle of it (this is not to be confused with the first such crosswalk you come to just in front of the Nature Center, which you arrive at maybe a quarter of a mile into the park). Just after this second crosswalk, make a left. Then make another almost immediate left into the parking lot on your left. There you will see the jungle gym and the kiddie zip line to your left. I will be just in front of the restrooms just a bit further down from the jungle gym and picnic shelter; the restroom building will also be on your left.

The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
