The New Shape of Delivery in the Age of Agents
**Our delivery processes were designed around people**. **Around what one person can hold in their head, track across a team, and carry through a long working day.**
Attention. Memory. Bandwidth. Fatigue. The cost of keeping everyone coordinated.
Almost every ritual we rely on exists because of those limits. Standups, handovers, status updates, planning ceremonies. They are clever workarounds for being human.
Agents change what is possible. When they can help specify, write, integrate, deploy and operate, the doing stops being the thing that holds delivery back.
That opens up a good question for everyone in product, tech and delivery. As agents take on more of the build, where do people add the most value?
The answer sits higher up. Strategy. Architecture. Judgement about what is worth building. Real ownership of the outcomes that matter.
Join us for an evening exploring the new shape of delivery, and the human work that matters more than ever as agents take on the build.
We'll dig into:
📅 How today's delivery processes are shaped by human limits, and what changes as those limits lift
👉 What agent-driven delivery means for the way teams are built and led
💜 Where people add the most value as agents take on the build, and how to grow into that work
Expect an honest, practical conversation, time to connect with others navigating the same shift, and the warm, supportive room Elevate is known for.
**What to expect**
* Panel discussion with [panellists TBC]
* Audience Q&A
* Networking and refreshments
**Who it's for**
Women in product, tech and delivery, at any stage, who want to think clearly about how this shift changes their work and their teams.

Architecting the Future: An Evening of High-Stakes AI Engineering
**Welcome to DSF Sandbox Sessions!**
Top tech talks and masterclasses from the best in the industry. Every month, and completely free. The catch? There isn’t one. Just a monthly dose of epic content to power up your data passion!
⭐️ **Event:** Architecting the Future: An Evening of High-Stakes AI Engineering
📆 **Date:** Thursday 9th July 2026
⏰ **Time:** 6:00 – 9:00 PM BST
**📍 Location:** London, UK
**🎟️ [CLICK HERE TO ENTER THE BALLOT!](https://datasciencefestival.com/session/faculty-sandbox-session/) 🎟️**
**💡 About the event:**
The “Chatbot” era of AI is over. For technologists in Financial Services, the real challenge is not writing a prompt. It is orchestration, security at scale, and integrating AI into complex, business-critical systems.
Join Faculty and the Data Science Festival for our final in-person meetup before the summer break. This evening is designed specifically for practitioners building production AI systems and navigating the realities of deploying GenAI in regulated environments.
We are stripping away the hype and taking a practical look at the architectural challenges, lessons learned, and engineering decisions involved in moving AI from proof of concept to production. Through two technical talks and a panel discussion, we will explore how organisations are building secure, scalable, and reliable AI systems that can operate in the real world. We will explore topics include retrieval systems, LLM orchestration, and agentic AI in enterprise environments.
No fluff. No “AI will change the world” introductions. Just senior practitioners, technical discussions, real-world architecture challenges, and a few drinks to facilitate the “how did you actually solve that?” conversations.
Food, drinks, and networking with fellow practitioners will be available throughout the evening.
**Who is this for?**
This event is curated for Senior and Lead Machine Learning Engineers, Software Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Data Architects, and Applied Scientists.
While many examples come from Financial Services and Insurance, the architectural patterns and engineering lessons will be relevant to anyone building production AI systems at scale.
**Talk 1: Scaling the Haystack: The engineering reality of processing thousands of sensitive documents for retrieval**
[Brandon Lim](https://www.linkedin.com/in/brandonchinwoeilim/), Senior ML Engineer @ Faculty
Most document processing pipelines look straightforward until you throw thousands of real-world files at them. Inconsistent formats, sensitive data, access controls, and scale all expose the gaps that prototype pipelines paper over. This talk covers the full journey from raw document ingestion to production-ready AI search: including data storage strategies, embedding and indexing, retrieval architecture, and how to keep quality and compliance intact as your corpus grows.
**Talk 2: Claims Without the Hallucinations: A masterclass in LLM orchestration and deterministic outputs in production-grade environments.**
[Prudence Leung](https://www.linkedin.com/in/prudence-leung-827998169/), Senior Data Scientist @ Faculty
In high-stakes corporate workflows, production reliability is on the frontlines of preventing severe financial, legal or regulatory risk. It’s about architecture: validating outputs at every boundary and orchestrating multi-step pipelines so they’re resumable, observable, and safe to retry.
This talk covers practical layers of that architecture, such as using Pydantic to turn LLM outputs into hard pass/fail gates, and durable execution frameworks like DBOS and Temporal to make multi-step pipelines resumable and safe to retry. The goal throughout is keep deterministic logic deterministic, and contain the probabilistic parts.
**Talk 3: Panel - The Autonomous Underwriter: How do you integrate GenAI agents into legacy insurance systems without breaking the business?**
[Chris Mullan](https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrismullan-ai/), Head of Data and AI @ CFC Underwriting
[Divish Rengasamy](https://www.linkedin.com/in/divish-rengasamy/), Lead ML Engineer @ Faculty
[Hanne Carlsson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/hanne-carlsson/), Senior Data Scientist @ Faculty
Hosted by [Michelle Conway](https://www.linkedin.com/in/michelle--conway/), Lead ML & AI Engineer @ Lloyds Banking Group
Agentic AI promises to transform underwriting but legacy systems, regulatory constraints, and organizational complexity make the path from demo to production far harder than it appears. Beyond the software engineering, this is a massive change management and operational transformation. Drawing on real-world experience, this panel unpacks the friction of decoupling agents from brittle dependencies, managing risk acceptance, and building systems that improve over time without creating new operational risks.
**🕧 Schedule:**
6:00 PM – Doors open – networking with food and refreshments
6:45 PM – Intro
6:50 PM – Talk 1 (including Q&A)

London Platform User Group (LOPUG), Wednesday 8th July, 6.30pm onwards
For our July meetup, we have a change of venue and will be hosted by the lovely folks at Adaptavist. We have two excellent talks lined up and the agenda will be:
* 6:30pm - arrive, drinks, networking
* 7:00pm - Welcome & Housekeeping
* 7:15pm - **Talk 1: "Stop Wasting GPUs: How We Built a Golden Path for GPU Sharing on Kubernetes"**
Everyone is hyped about frontier models as a service. The moment you need to run them yourself, for latency, cost, compliance, or just control, the bill shows up. You pay for a whole GPU even when your pod uses a sliver of it. Kubernetes has always counted GPUs like bricks: one pod, one card, done.
That just changed. Kubernetes 1.34 ships a new way to schedule hardware, and NVIDIA lets you physically slice one card into isolated partitions. Put them together and you get real GPU sharing on Kubernetes. No time-slicing tricks. Real isolation, real savings.
We built the whole stack from an empty cluster. Come to the talk and watch it run end to end on stage.
**Speaker: Engin Diri, Senior Solutions Architect @ Pulumi**
*As a Senior Solutions Architect at Pulumi with over 15 years of experience in the IT industry, including roles at the Schwarz Group and W&W Versicherungen, I bring extensive expertise with an end-user and enterprise focus. Currently working for a startup while collaborating with enterprise clients has further enriched my experience!*
* 7.45pm - food, more drinks & networking
* 8.00pm - **Talk** **2: "Bringing Back the Feedback Loop: Platform Engineering for AI-Assisted Delivery"**
What changes when AI starts participating in delivery systems, and how can platform teams keep feedback loops, governance, and developer experience intact when AI is making everything happen faster than ever before? Matt will make the case for not throwing away our old practices in this new era, and for bringing back DevOps-style feedback loops stronger than before.
**Speaker: Matt Saunders, VP DevOps at Adaptavist**
*Matt Saunders is VP DevOps at Adaptavist, leads the DevOps section of InfoQ, and co-organises the London DevOps AI meetup*
* 8.30pm onwards - drinks and networking.
So, please come and join us, we look forward to seeing you there.
The LOPUG team.
* Food and drinks provided
* Good time will be had by all

You can sleep in on the Semiquincentennial (observed), we’re shifting to the following Friday.
But join the local UX community for a chat and some biscuits to catch up. If you were in CA for Figma Config, tell us all the lines and you can tell me how I can animate an SVG without coding it by hand, and why I’d even want to.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - Learning from Everyday Data
**Practical Curiosity: Learning from Everyday Data**
How do we actually get better at utilizing our day-to-day data? Fancy dashboards and complex models might look nice and draw attention, but that’s not where most of us spend our time. In fact those shiny outputs frequently sit unused, while the real insights are drawn from the analyst’s daily practice.
Sometimes it’s as simple and as powerful as noticing that a segment is shrinking, a channel is underused, or certain links keep getting all the clicks. There’s many different places that the spark of insight can come from, but you have to keep your head in the data and know where to look.
In this session, we’ll explore real-world examples of how segmentation, testing, and click behavior can uncover practical digital marketing opportunities. You’ll leave with inspiration for your own use cases, along with a few simple ways to ask better questions, spot meaningful patterns, and make smarter decisions without overcomplicating it.
**About Our Speaker:**
[Elaine Armbruster](https://www.linkedin.com/in/elainearmbruster/) is a Director of Digital Experience at the [American Diabetes Association](https://diabetes.org/), where she focuses on using data and insights to create smarter, more effective digital experiences. A lifelong Columbus resident, she has built her career in email marketing and the broader digital user journey, and is finding she most enjoys working in the messy middle where systems, data, and big ideas don’t quite line up yet.
