[Avoimet Ovet] Kehitä vuorovaikutustaitojasi Stadin Sanasepissä
**Haluatko oppia puhumaan selkeämmin, itsevarmemmin – ja vähän vähemmällä jännityksellä?**
**Stadin Sanasepät** on suomenkielinen puhe- ja esiintymistaitojen treenikenttä, jossa opitaan puhumalla – ei istumalla passiivisena luennoilla. Meillä esiintytään, mokaillaan, pitchataan ja kehitytään turvallisessa ja kannustavassa ilmapiirissä.
Tämä on hyvä paikka, jos haluat esimerkiksi:
– saada itsevarmuutta esiintymiseen
– sanoittaa omaa ajatustasi napakammin
Vieraileminen on maksutonta eikä ennakkoilmoittautumista tarvita. Tule testaamaan, miltä tuntuu puhua yleisön edessä. Ei tarvitse olla valmis – kunhan haluat oppia.

Loving-kindness In Difficult Situations
(English version at the bottom)
Maanantain meditaatio on viikoittainen zen-harjoitus.

In difficult situations the mind easily tightens — we may withdraw, defend ourselves, or react quickly.
In this meditation we explore what it means to meet challenging moments from a slightly kinder place.
Can loving-kindness also be present when things don’t feel easy?
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧?
Monday meditation is a weekly Zen practice. We meditate together and each week explore a new topic that can open new perspectives about our own mind and our experience of life.
The practice can bring more clarity, peace, and balance — both in meditation and in everyday life.

Vibe Coding Finland: April meetup with Antilooppi at VERK
Welcome to our April meetup in Helsinki, arranged together with Antilooppi (https://antilooppi.fi/).
Schedule:
17:00 Doors open!
17:30 Welcome words by organizers and Antilooppi
17:40 **"From Layoff to $9K/Month: Lessons from Building and Selling Mobile Apps"**
**by Steven Phuc, indie developer**
In today’s tech industry, job security feels increasingly uncertain. Whether unemployed or still employed, many people are facing layoffs or constant pressure to adapt.
After being laid off as a React web developer, Steven spent months trying different paths — web projects, SaaS ideas, and experiments that didn’t gain traction.
Eventually, he shifted focus to building consumer mobile apps, learning everything from product direction to distribution through trial and error.
Within about a year, his apps reached around $9,000 in monthly revenue.
This talk shares a practical and honest roadmap from uncertainty to sustainable product income — covering key lessons, failures, and what actually mattered.
If you’re curious about turning ideas into real products and interested in this path, this talk is for you.
\*5 min break\*
18:15 **"Vibe Coding Without Losing Your Edge", Johanna Wäänänen, Founder, Systemic, PhD Researcher**
At the same time as AI rushed into our everyday work, I started my PhD research on how human physiology shapes cognitive performance.
That overlap made me notice, that AI is not just changing how we work or code. It’s changing how we think and feel.
We’ll explore a question especially relevant for coding:
* Why can coding with AI make your brain feel… a bit like mush?
* And more importantly: What can we do about it?
My hope is that by exploring this together, we can share practical ways to maintain clear, high-quality thinking while working with AI.
We’ll look at how to:
* stay sharp to move fast
* use AI to extend your thinking and not replace it
* keep your edge in a world where AI is everywhere
This is a phenomenon worth understanding to keep your edge.
Johanna "I study how human physiology shapes thinking, decision-making, and collaboration — and, ultimately, performance. And how these are evolving in the age of AI. Alongside my research, I work with teams and organizations navigating complex environments"
\*5 min break\*
18:50 **“The Job of Product Designer in the Age of AI”, Lassi A Liikkanen, PhD, Director of Product Design and Insight, Qvik Ltd.**
Is there a future for human designers? The tasks and responsibilities of a UX/UI designer are subject to rapid shift as AI can be used to radically augment the professional capability of every designer. In this talk I reflect on recent developments that have and will influence designer work in the immediate future, taking the conversation to discuss the tasks designers would love and will have to take on in the future.
19:30 Mingling / free discussion etc
20:00 Doors close

Breaking In Your Data Shoes #2
Finland currently has the **highest unemployment rate** in Europe. **AI** is rapidly reshaping expectations and requirements for candidates. As a result, the data job market is becoming **increasingly competitive**, making it harder to stand out.
So how can you adapt and **search for job effectively** in this environment?
At the DataTribe meetup, you will hear first-hand insights from **a recruiter at Wolt** who is continuously hiring data professionals, as well as from **a career consultant** who helps specialists navigate today’s challenging job market.
**Topics we will cover:**
✅The current state of the data job market in Finland
✅What hiring managers are really looking for
✅How AI is changing both hiring and job search
✅Practical job search strategies that actually work
✅Common mistakes candidates make and how to avoid them

Sketchy Collective: Helsinki Drawing Meetup (15:00 Helsinki time)
**Welcome to Sketchy Collective!**
A relaxed and social drawing group for anyone who enjoys sketching — or just wants to give it a try.
\*\*\*
We meet **every Sunday at 15:00** in **Oodi Library**.
\*\*\*
**HOW TO FIND US**
We meet on the **top floor of Oodi Library**, on the stairs **opposite** the children’s area.
It's a good idea to **keep your sketchbook visible** so others can easily recognize that you're there for the sketching meetup. And if you’re a regular participant, making it clear that you're part of the sketching group can be very helpful for newcomers!
\*\*\*
**HOW IT WORKS**
At each meetup, attendees take turns being the model for a quick **10-minute sketch session**. One person poses, everyone else sketches, then we rotate.
\*\*\*
**WHAT TO BRING**
Pencils and paper (or any sketching tools you like).
No fees, no pressure. The only thing we ask is that everyone takes a turn posing for the group. You can sit however you feel comfortable — the 10 minutes go by quickly! Draw as much as you like, skip a round if you’re tired or just want to chat, and leave whenever it suits you. The event continues as long as there’s interest.
\*\*\*
**STAYING CONNECTED**
Due to issues with spam and advertising, the group has decided that **only people who have attended at least one meetup will be accepted into the WhatsApp group**. To be added, please ask other participants at the meetup — a few members have permission to approve new people, and at least one of them will likely be present.
\*\*\*
**SOCIAL MEDIA**
If you’d like to share your drawings from the meetup, you can send on WhatsApp group or use the Instagram collab function (instagram.com/sketchy.collective). We warmly encourage everyone to share their work and take part in building our international sketching gallery — together with artists from all the cities where Sketchy Collective meetups are organized.

Prompt vs. Paintbrush
AI is changing how art is made. But when does it stop being your work and start being the machine’s?
This month we're going to be doing a panel with with digital image, music, and written word artists, talking about at what point, while using AI in the creation process, does the work become not the artist creation?
We encourage audience participation during this event that will be moderated by Chris Slee.
