Chaque participant recevra une étiquette avec son prénom ou pseudo, ainsi que les langues et cultures qui l’intéressent — même si vous ne les maîtrisez pas encore. Ce qui compte avant tout pour nous, c’est l’ouverture d’esprit et ce que chacun(e) peut apporter à la communauté à travers sa diversité linguistique et culturelle. To help these informal exchanges, you will be greeted upon arrival by a host who will explain the concept and how the evening works. Each participant will receive a name tag with their name or username, as well as the languages and cultures they are interested in — even if you don’t speak them fluently yet. What matters most to us is open-mindedness and what each person can bring to the community in terms of linguistic and cultural diversity. We look forward to meeting you!

Join us for Apéro with Les Frenchies (Antoine and Colleen). Meet your fellow travellers in the city of lights, we always have a great time. **€20 paid to the restaurant per person** gets you wine (2 glasses of red or white), and Charcuterie, Hummus, Tarama and a Veggie platter. Le concept de l’événement est celui qui suit : * La durée totale de l’événement est de 2 heures, divisée en 3 sessions. The concept of the event is : * The whole event lasts 2 hours, subdivided in 4 sessions of 30 minutes. In each session, tables of 4 to 8 persons will be formed equally between foreigners and French (2/3 Foreigners and 2/3 French). In these sessions, there will be 15 minutes of French conversation followed by 15 minutes of English conversation. At the end of the 30 minutes, we’ll switch the tables and you’ll be placed on a new table with new persons (Hence, you’ll meet at least 9 to 12 different persons in an event) ! SR Coffee is a cool spot in Ashburn. They’ve got açaí bowls in addition to traditional cafe bites. I like their espresso and matcha, and like a lot of cafes, they rotate their seasonal signature drinks, offering a nice selection throughout the year. Pull up a chair and we’ll wander through a convo, or sit in silence. Your choice. (No discussions on politics, religion or potentially controversial topics. We're here to relax and have fun. Just be respectful and we'll be alright. Pay your own way, and enjoy!)

Cool cafe just south of the historic district in Leesburg. Their food menu offers options that stray from the norm. Friendly staff and good music compliment the vibe here, where you can get the standard espresso drinks and enjoy some (much needed?) downtime. There's dedicated parking, and we shouldn't have trouble finding seating. Come out and, if you like, take a walk through downtown Leesburg afterwards.

Personally, I think this is the best kept secret in Leesburg. During the week, the owner rents out her cafe for private events, but on the weekends, it’s a cozy botanical cafe where you can get a beautiful plant to bring home after a good convo over a latte. In warmer weather, there’s a hidden patio in the back, where you can enjoy some tree-shaded privacy. Limited pastries and seating, but plenty of parking in the town garage across the street. Please join me, and add this to your itinerary next time you’re in Leesburg.

I’ve heard there’s a good vibe here. A recommendation and good reviews tells me this is a good stop. Lots of seating and good espresso should make this a great experience for anyone who can make it.
