London to Paris via Avenue Verte - Call For Interest
London to Paris via Avenue Verte - Call For Interest
A call for interest in this once in a lifetime classic ride from London to Paris. Please put your name down if you really have a **serious** interest in doing this ride. No time wasters please as life is too short! This is a four day ride of approx 250 miles from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tour in Paris. The route follows the Avenue Vert using country lanes and traffic free cycling paths. The first day is Monday and our route takes us from London to Newhaven where we take the overnight ferry to Dieppe at a cost of around £40. From Dieppe we have the choice of two routes the longest is around 150 miles so we will plan accommodation en-route for the Tuesday and Wednesday nights arriving in Paris on Thursday afternoon. We shall stay overnight in Paris on the Thursday picking up bike bags from the hotel as we cannot transport fully assembled bikes on Eurostar. We plan to catch an afternoon train back to London arriving early evening, depending on the train this should cost around £65. Accommodation costs will be around £200. In addition please ensure that you have travel insurance that will cover you for accidents and any serious existing medical conditions. Unless you can provide evidence of cover we cannot take you on this ride. Normal holiday insurance may not cover you so you will need to go to a medical cover provider such as Staysure. This company does cover existing conditions including heart and stroke but it will cost you £2-300 for a single trip.

Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
Rabble - Fitness Through Games!
A Rabble session is 1 hour of fun and social team games. Each game disguises high-intensity intervals within the rules, giving you an effective, all-body workout without even realising it. We play a bunch of different games at each session (like British Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee and many more), and every class is different. Sessions are open to all, no matter your sporting ability. Each game is explained before we start, so there's no need to have played any of the games before. Come solo or bring friends! And stay at the end for the social part! Who knew getting fit could be this fun? **HOW TO BOOK**: **It's essential that you book onto sessions via our website, using the link below**; due to restrictions on games and preparation times we cannot accept walk-ins, or late arrivals. freeCodeCamp x Encode | AI - Workshop: Vibecoding Using Local AIs
# Learn how to use open-source harnesses like OpenCode & Pi w/ your own LLM and with it, build a real-world application **Registration to this event is only valid through the Luma platform:** [https://luma.com/11txn8gq](https://luma.com/11txn8gq?utm_source=meetup-dot-com) Hello code campers! Since everyone is talking about using harnesses such as **Anthropic Claude** or **OpenAI Codex**, meaning, everyone is probably tired of hearing about them, we've decided to go in a different direction and explore other, lesser known things such as, [OpenCode](https://opencode.ai/?utm_source=luma) and [Pi DOT Dev](https://pi.dev/?utm_source=luma). Come and join us and learn how to work with a wide range of open-source large language models (**LLMs**) such as **DeepSeek V4**, **Gemma**, **Kimi K2**, and **GLM** across various local-first environments. This comprehensive workshop is designed to teach you what is a code harness, how many types of them there are out there (you might be familiar with **Claude Code** or **Codex** or **CoPilot** but there are others and since the big-tech companies are moving to token-based usage, why not run your own solution locally). Also, we'll explore how to go about having effective agentic coding workflows while benchmarking model performance and hardware requirements. We will go through the setup process, focusing on how to install the desired LLM runner like Ollama or LMstudio locally. This will be our **7th** event in our series of **local-first, open-source** AI events; therefore, we will try to focus on building a setup that doesn't depend on Big Tech but on smaller open-source tech instead. This workshop is open to all levels, from beginners to experts. Bring your laptop (make sure it's fully charged as local LLMs tend to be power-hungry), and don't forget to bring your coding gear (hoodie). This workshop will be most likely accompanied by a guest speaker (TBD). *** ## Prerequisite Prerequisite: a local Ollama, LMStudio installation or equivalent (but if you don't have any of that, don't worry, come a bit early and we will help you). If you want to take a quick look at the slides from the previous events fell free to do so: [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-01/](%E2%80%8Bhttps://andysign.github.io/ai-london-01/) (Ollama); [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-02/](%E2%80%8Bhttps://andysign.github.io/ai-london-02/) (LangFlow, not really related but still) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-03/](%E2%80%8Bhttps://andysign.github.io/ai-london-03/) (private RAG w/ Anything LLM) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-04/](%E2%80%8Bhttps://andysign.github.io/ai-london-04/) (AI-native browsers) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-05/](%E2%80%8Bhttps://andysign.github.io/ai-london-05/) (OpenClaw basics) [https://andysign.github.io/ai-london-06/](%E2%80%8Bhttps://andysign.github.io/ai-london-06/) (OpenClaw advanced) *** ## Agenda for the evening (Subject to change) **18:00 - 18:30 Arrival and networking** Mingle with fellow developers over refreshments. **18:30 - 18:45 Introductions** Intro and a bit of audience engagement. **18:45 - 19:40 Workshop** Hands-on technical workshop (if you are non-technical it's OK, tag along). **20:30 - 20:45 Guest Speaker** **20:30 - 21:00 Networking** **21:00 - Closing remarks and follow-up** **END:** Carry on the fun at a nearby pub around the corner. *** ## Event Venue We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to **Encode Club**. [Encode Club ](http://encode.club)has spent over five years fostering a global community of developers, researchers, and founders in Web3, AI, and emerging technologies. The [Encode Hub](http://hub.encode.club) brings everything together under one roof, providing a dedicated environment for collaboration and innovation through meetups, co-working, and in-person events.

June 11-16 Eastern Sardinia, Famous beaches, Easy walks, Culture, Snorkelling
June 11-16 Eastern Sardinia, Famous beaches, Easy walks, Culture, Snorkelling
AAA Hiking are excited to announce our second trip to this stunning island! **We invite you to explore the best beaches in Italy, easy-moderate scenic hikes of 5-8 km with coastal views and 360-degree summits, unique Sardinian culture, and tasty local food!** The middle of June is an ideal time for the trip when the sea is already warm, the air is not too hot for walking, and the tourist boats are running to the famous beaches. Some of them are not easy to reach on foot unless you hike for a long time on the rocky limestone terrain. **[Here are the October 2025 event photos](https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1572050270902890&type=3)** **Discover the Untamed Beauty of Eastern Sardinia with AAA Hiking.** Stretching for kilometres along the turquoise embrace of the Mediterranean, the eastern coast of Sardinia is a breathtaking blend of golden cliffs and secluded, low-lying beaches. Here, nature reigns supreme. In the heart of the Supramonte mountains, goats, sheep, donkeys, and wild boar roam freely through forests of strawberry trees, holly oaks, and ancient oaks. Overhead, the majestic royal eagle soars, nesting on the highest peaks and guarding this pristine paradise. We will be exploring this beauty on foot and by boat. **HIGHLIGHTS** • Experience the beauty of the **National Park of the Bay of Orosei and Gennargentu**, its coastline, when the sea is warm, and the air is about 25-27 °C. • Easy/Moderate **Coastal Walks**, around 5-8 km a day, inhaling a **healing mix of sea and juniper trees' air**. • A new destination, a **tailor-made event**, based in Cala Ganone town, a getaway for the boat trips. • **Experienced Hike Leaders, who pre-walked the routes**. • Optional **water activities**: SUP, sea kayaking, open sea swimming, snorkelling or even scuba diving if you dare. • An optional boat trip to **the most charming and evocative coves and beaches in the Gulf of Orosei**, observing the splendour of **Cala Goloritzé**, a rocky, dazzling turquoise bay. Stopping and swimming at **Cala Luna** and others. • Visit the **largest ethnographic park-museum** in Sardinia - The S'Abba Frisca (fresh water), with its farm, where you'll meet the various animals that inhabit the park. • Dinner at **Nuraghe Mannu Farmhouse**, **traditional Sardinian 4-course menu** with wine and mineral water (optional, not included) **All questions to** *[aaalondongroup@yahoo.co.uk](mailto:aaalondongroup@yahoo.co.uk)* Organisers took all the photos during their exploration. **STAY INFORMED** **[Join the AAA Hiking Mailing List for our Special Offers.](https://www.aaahiking.co.uk/newsletter-signup)** **ITINERARY** The event starts on Thursday, 11 June, at the Olbia airport at 11:30 and finishes there on Tuesday, 16 June, at 17:30. The ancient Greeks called it **olbìa - ‘happiness’**. It is the gateway to the island and the driving force behind the economy of the Gallura area. Many flights arrive there, and it is a good town to stay in and explore before or after the trip. After the pick-up, we will take you to the Porto Taverna beach for your first swim and lunch. There is a high chance you may see flamingos there in the freshwater lakes, located close to the beach. We will make our way to the accommodation in Cala Ganone in the afternoon. The exact itinerary of the following days features the highlights listed above and will be shared with attendees closer to the day. Every day is planned with care and adjusted according to the most recent weather forecast. **LOCATION** We will be based in Cala Gonone, a seaside town, rising up from the Golfo di Orosei. It is located on a steep hill at the foot of the extinct volcano Codula Manna and slopes down to the gulf. From here you can go on to discover numerous beautiful bays, such as Cala Ziu Martine, Cala Fuili, Cala Cartoe and Cala Luna, a beautiful pale blue bay dominated by steep, lunar grey rock walls. Cala Luna is one of the Mediterranean’s most enchanting beaches. Graced with a beach of almost powdery sand and surrounded by blooming oleander trees, it was the setting for the Lina Wertmüller cult **film *Swept Away***. We can immerse ourselves in the idyllic peace of Cala Luna, marvel at the wild nature of Cala Mariolu, and observe the crystal-clear waters of Cala Goloritzé. **WHAT TO EXPECT** AAA has hosted Hiking trips for over 17 years. We have a wealth of experience that will ensure you enjoy great hikes and food. It was carefully selected from many by the organisers during our investigation trips. The 1st group member loved it in October 2025. This is why the bigger hotel option was declined by the organisers. As always, accommodation is chosen for its comfort, authenticity, and proximity to key locations on our itinerary. You may go for a swim before breakfast ;). This hotel has only a few rooms, and they are of different types with different prices! We anticipate a small, intimate group. **The first people to book will have a choice.
