Candle Making

Ever want to try ceramics or build on your skills? Then this would be the perfect opportunity. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to make so many different things for yourself, friends or family - bowls, plates, sushi dishes, plants pots and much more. Beginners will be guided through the process of making things using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing, under-glazing and glazing. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcome to use my wheel (to be reserved in advance). Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. They also provide a great opportunity for non-native speakers to chat and learn. They last 2.5 hours and basic materials are provided. Este grupo parte del trabajo del actor creador. Este curso pretende facilitar el descubrimiento y la ejercitación de los hábitos creadores del actor en el alumnado. Se pondrán en práctica todos los aprendizajes actorales para fomentar un trabajo de creación colectiva. Iniciaremos con una investigación interpretativa a través de improvisaciones y propuestas escénicas para llegar a una creación colectiva de varios montajes de microteatro a representar en distintos centros, teatros y salas de Barcelona. Una vez tengamos la propuesta creativa empezaremos a incidir y trabajar en todo lo que es necesario para una creación escénica que se presentará en público. Aprenderemos a realizar un montaje teatral con todo lo que hay delante y detrás del escenario. Partiendo siempre del trabajo de la creación colectiva y de grupo, profundizaremos en el trabajo de personajes, creación, texto y guion. A la vez que se imparten clases de formación actoral y disciplina escénica. Para este grupo es necesaria experiencia previa en teatro. We are especially excited to share this workshop, as cyanotype is a sensitive and inspiring technique that connects image, matter, and light in a direct and poetic way. Cyanotype is an artisanal photographic printing process characterized by its deep blue tones. Through the action of ultraviolet light on a photosensitive solution, unique compositions can be created using botanical elements, objects, or photographic images. In this workshop, we will explore cyanotype as an artistic and experimental practice. Participants will learn how to prepare the chemical solution, choose and treat different supports, and create compositions combining natural forms, everyday materials, or photographic images—engaging both the technical and creative aspects of the process. This is a hands-on and accessible introduction to the technique. No prior experience in photography or printmaking is required—only curiosity, a desire to create, and an openness to sharing the process collectively.
