### **Join our next unhappy hour Breathwork Ceremony. In this Ceremony we use Conscious breathing to embrace and release our discomfort surrounding our emotional wounds, heart break, grief and stressful situations.** ### This 90 Minute ceremony includes breathwork and a sound bath to release the weight of our struggles by using our very own conscious breathing to transform our lives. **What is Breathwork?** Breathwork falls under an umbrella term with many different marketing names and techniques. For this session we will be focusing in one technique while laying down on our back. This is NOT your typical relaxing breathing and it DOES NOT INVOLVE ANY YOGA movement. Join Philippa Rappoport, an expert on Slavic folklore and rituals, for a discussion of the water spirits of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia and the traditions centered around them. She'll describe how rusalki were both revered and feared by people who would sing songs in their honor while carrying protective charms. You'll learn how East Slavic mermaid lore permeated wedding rituals and parades, inspired the construction of effigies, and reflected beliefs about women that, throughout the world, have translated into a lot of concern over how women wear their hair and cover their heads. Philippa has wowed crowds with fascinating talks on East Slavic nature spirits and folktales related to the underworld and winter. Her accounts of mermaids promise to be equally entertaining. Join us for a training walk on the WO&D. For this initial walk, we'll strive to maintain a 20-21 minute mile pace. The goal is to begin ramping up in order to maintain a 16 minute mile pace with minimal stopping for 90 minutes. **Meeting Time & Location:** Meet us at 6:30 PM near Isaac Newtown square. The trail is **mostly flat**, but a **246-foot incline within Great Falls Park** will give us a fun little cardio challenge.
