Shengjian mantou, or shengjian for short, is a type of small, pan-fried baozi (steamed buns) which is a specialty of Suzhou and Shanghai. It is typically filled with pork and gelatin that melts into soup/liquid when cooked. In this class we will use curry beef as fillings and our teacher will teach you how to make the fillings and also the Shengjian from scratch. There is no better way to share the food while enjoy the dumpling party and socializing together!
