We are also going to see what OSM is and how it represents geographical data, how this data can be imported and used in Python (using PostGIS or DuckDB), how to process it and how to display the results. About the Speaker: Jacopo Farina is a data engineer at Flixbus, where he works on the demand forecasting, and a teacher at the Data Science Retreat in Berlin. Previously he worked on the backend using Node.js, reporting and ETL. \*\*\* **2️⃣ Symbolic Differentiation of Matrices and N-Dimensional Arrays in SymPy** Speaker: Francesco Bonazzi (PhD in Physics and Software Developer @ Intesa Sanpaolo) Numerical frameworks such as PyTorch and JAX routinely compute matrix and tensor gradients via reverse-mode automatic differentiation (backpropagation) to train neural networks. By contrast, there has been a notable absence of symbolic implementations that produce exact, closed-form gradient expressions interpretable and well-suited to further algebraic manipulation. SymPy, an open-source computer algebra system written in Python, now provides comprehensive support for symbolic differentiation of matrices and N-dimensional arrays. The implementation gives users flexibility to work with either matrices or arrays, which can be handled in two ways: explicitly, by defining each component individually, or implicitly, as symbolic expressions. In the explicit case, the derivation algorithm is straightforward: the derivatives essentially amount to nested loops over the array dimensions. By contrast, the implicit algorithm is considerably more intricate, especially when deriving expressions that involve matrices. After outlining the key aspects of this algorithmic design, the talk showcases its practical value through selected examples that illustrate how closed-form symbolic matrix and tensor gradients can provide valuable insights and enable exact computations in various applications. About the Speaker: Francesco Bonazzi is a software developer and core maintainer of SymPy, a Python computer algebra system. He has contributed extensively to the library's physics, matrix algebra, tensor algebra, and probability modules. Join us for a fun urban game in Milan! Tour Quiz is not a classic guided tour, it is a city game where you explore Milan while solving clues and competing with other teams. Instead of simply listening to a guide, you discover the city through a playful challenge: observe details, answer questions and reach the final point with the best score. Many people think Milan is only about the Duomo, but the city hides elegant streets, fascinating stories and surprising architectural details. **Route - Corso Venezia** This route explores one of the most elegant areas of Milan. Corso Venezia is known for its historic palaces, Liberty architecture and refined atmosphere. During the game you will discover historic aristocratic buildings, elegant streets near the Fashion District and the mysterious Quadrilatero del Silenzio, a quiet area full of hidden architectural curiosities. **How the game works** At the beginning participants meet the organizer at the starting point. Each team receives a map of the route, a booklet with stories and curiosities and a quiz sheet with questions. Teams walk through the city following the route and solving the questions along the way. At the end we meet again at the final point, check the answers and announce the winning team. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. 
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. 
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. 
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… 
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… 
IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.

Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
