Beginners Pottery Course
This 4-week program is designed as an introduction to ceramics and its vast creative potential. Throughout the course, you will learn the fundamental hand-building techniques used to construct ceramic objects, developing skills through practice, experimentation, and repetition.
We will work with the **pinch, coil, slab, and hollowing techniques**, creating **4-6 pieces in total**. Some forms will be more demanding, such as **jugs and sculptures,** challenging both technical ability and creative thinking.
Alongside building, we will explore **surface decoration**, learning to paint with **underglazes (engobes)** and gaining an introduction to **glazes**. By the end of the course, participants will glaze and finish selected pieces created during the program.
All **materials, tools, underglazes, and glazes are included** in the course fee, 280 CHF.

**Beschreibung:**
Willkommen zu einem entspannenden und heilenden Treffen, bei dem wir Körper und Geist in Einklang bringen. In /\*/-\*dieser Veranstaltung werden wir traditionelle Praxisformen erleben: **Qigong (氣功)**, sowie **Achtsamkeitsmeditation (正念禪修)**.
**Qigong (氣功) (18:00 - 19:00)**
Diese alten chinesischen Übungen fördern die Lebensenergie (Qi) und stärken Körper und Geist. Durch fließende Bewegungen und gezielte Atemtechniken wird das Energiegleichgewicht wiederhergestellt, was zu mehr Vitalität, innerer Ruhe und körperlicher Ausgeglichenheit führt.
**Achtsamkeitsmeditation (正念禪修) (19:00 - 20:00):**

Parenting is a journey best traveled together. This is an open invitation to **parents of teens and tweens** looking for a breathing space—a place to simply come as you are.
Join us for an informal evening dedicated to honest conversation and genuine connection. We are opening the floor to whatever is alive for you right now. It is a space to drop the mask and be real about the ups and downs of raising adolescents.
We will be there to guide the flow, offer input, and—most importantly—hold a safe container for whatever you bring to the table. All feelings and experiences are welcome here.

This family workshop is a playful yet intentional space where children and adults explore emotions together through movement, color, and painting.
Guided by an instructor, **families are introduced to basic painting techniques through a series of simple, expressive movements. Each movement is linked to an emotion, and each emotion is connected to a color from the color wheel.** Participants are invited to notice how different emotions feel in the body and how these sensations can be translated into color, rhythm, and gesture.
Through guided movement, families physically express emotions before bringing them onto the canvas. They explore questions such as: Does this emotion feel soft or strong? Flowing or sharp? Light or heavy? These embodied experiences then inform how paint is applied, using different techniques, textures, and brushstrokes.
Rather than focusing on representation, the workshop emphasizes expression, connection, and curiosity. **Children and adults paint side by side, discovering how colors, shapes, and movements can communicate feelings in different ways.** This shared creative process encourages emotional awareness, empathy, and open communication within the family.
**At the end of the workshop, everyone will come together in the chill area to enjoy some snacks.** The organizers will provide fruit platters along with a selection of hot and cold soft drinks. We kindly ask parents to bring along their children's favorite snacks to share with everyone.
By the end of the workshop, each family leaves with expressive artworks that reflect their emotional exploration, as well as a shared experience that strengthens connection, understanding, and creative confidence.
