Street Film Co-op welcomes any member to start a project. Here's info on how you can start a project or seek interest in your potential project. Please note: this is a standing meetup with info and it is not an actual invite to meet. The meetup site doesn't allow for a permanent post to be up but requires a deadline to be given. Types of projects Short films, web series, extremely low-budget features, a proof of concept short film for your feature, etc. There are no limitations on the type or length of project. Bear in mind that projects should be low to no budget. Each project will be posted for 2 months and interested people will contact you directly. Read below for more details and how-to’s. Contact the group's organizer Ian Nichol if you wish to launch a project. Create your own project description in a word doc (you will email to Ian) or email, based on past projects. Be engaging, tell a little about yourself, get people excited in your idea. Include your email and repeat it again but spelling it so you are putting “at” instead of @. The meetup site can sometimes hide email addresses in meetup posts. Keep the text re: the meetup's meeting date is just a deadline and not an actual meeting date. Email your posting with a fun photo of you (has to be landscape shape for the meetup template). Email all this to the meet-up's 2 amazing organizers: Erin and Andy. They will let you know if they have any questions before posting it. Please consider crediting the Organizer, Ian Nichol, as Executive Producer or Associate Producer in your credits and on imdb. Co-op members are eager to participate and will reply to your post.

❄️🌲 High Park Winter Wander + Cozy Lunch 🍲✨
❄️🌲 High Park Winter Wander + Cozy Lunch 🍲✨
March in Toronto is a mystery… it could be sunshine and birds chirping ☀️ or a little crisp and snowy ❄️ — and honestly? That’s part of the adventure. Let’s get out of the house, breathe in that fresh winter air, stretch our legs, and enjoy one of Toronto’s most beautiful parks together. 💙 **High Park** is the city’s largest public park — full of winding trails, little hills (yes, there are a few! 😄), open green space, squirrels plotting world domination 🐿️, a mini zoo, lakefront views, and some of the prettiest natural scenery in the city. This isn’t a power hike. This isn’t a marathon. This is a **fun, light, social winter wander** — about an hour of walking, chatting, laughing, and just being outside together. 🌬️👟 And then? We warm up at the **Grenadier Café**, right in the heart of the park, for a cozy lunch. ☕🍔🍟 Nothing hits quite like a warm meal after a brisk walk. Fresh air + good conversation + comfort food. That’s the vibe. ✨ *** 📱 **Don’t forget to join our WhatsApp group** – [CLICK HERE!](https://chat.whatsapp.com/H59mSCbsAi018gYANrKAnc?mode=ac_t) 👉 **Menu:** [Click Here!](https://www.grenadiercafe.net/grenadiercafemenu) *** ## 📍 Meetup Details 📌 **Meetup Location:** At the **High Park Sign** (west side at Bloor & High Park Ave). Look for Mathew in his famous **Moose Hat!** 🫎🎩 🕚 **Meetup Time:** 11:00 AM I will only wait 5 minutes (March weather waits for no one 😉). 📍 **End Location:** Back to the start. 💰 **Meetup Fee:** $5 cash in person or e-transfer to **mathewmaclean@hotmail.com** *** ## ❄️ Weather Policy Please don’t sign up if you’re not ready to walk in the cold or snow. This event is happening in *any* kind of weather — unless it hits -20°C. Then we call it character-building and reschedule. 😅 *** ## 🎒 What to Bring 🥾 Good boots (High Park has hills!) 🧤 Gloves & hat 💧 Water ☕ Something warm to drink 🍫 A small snack if needed *** ## ⏳ Can I Leave Early? Of course! Stay for the walk, stay for lunch, or stay for both. Come for as long (or as little) as you like. And yes — you can just show up on the day if you’re not 100% sure you can make it. ⚠️ Occasionally things happen and events may need to be cancelled — please keep an eye out for updates. *** 👤 **Organizer:** Mathew Questions? Post on the event wall or email **torontomoviesandoutings@hotmail.com** *** Let’s shake off winter blues, get some fresh air in our lungs, and remind ourselves how good it feels to move, connect, and share a meal together. 🌲❄️💛 High Park in winter has its own kind of magic — come see it with us.

Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. We'd love to have you join us. COTA bus #5 comes to W. 5th and Wyandotte Rd. And it's a minute walk to the restaurant. *** Did you know that there are atheists everywhere?!?! You may not know it, but we are! We're in your schools, diners, police force, military, government, and some are even still in your churches! So come and join us and meet other local atheists, along with agnostics, heathens, humanists, skeptics, and anyone else who's 'hell bound'! Vision: a Central Ohio that accepts atheism as a viable alternative in all areas of public and private life. Mission: grow, support, and provide community for atheists in Central Ohio. Social meetings held most Tuesdays at a local pub/restaurant at 7:00 PM (and often into the wee hours). Attendees call themselves agnostics, skeptics, humanists, non-theists, deists or even theists. All attendees are welcome but should support our vision. Atheists of Columbus (AoC) is part of Omnipresent Atheists (OA). It was a member of Columbus CoR and held weekly meetings, mostly on Fridays, for several years but then operated as an online only group for some time. In November 2018, Omnipresent Atheists (OA), a group that routinely meets on Tuesdays, invited AoC to merge. Omnipresent Atheists is a member of the Columbus Coalition of Reason (ColumbusCoR.org). Shut Up & Write!® Easton Town Center
Shut Up & Write!® Easton Town Center
We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Sunday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at noon on Sundays. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 12:00 - quick intros. 12:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 1:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 1-1:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session. If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. Happy writing and I look forward to seeing you! • What to bring Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block noise or the occasional conversation by other patrons. Electrical outlets are limited, so charge your devices before whenever possible. See you at The Café on Sunday!
