Push yourself to improve Japanese or English! Come with a positive attitude, and encourage each other to focus and grow. We will split the language exchange into half, between Japanese and English. If additional languages are available, we will add time. Bring any study materials you want to use. And be sure to bring writing utensils so you can take notes as you need. Feel free to talk and participate in conversations. There is no participation fee, but please make your order at the cafe.

You have gone out for coffee before, but have you tried bringing your furry friend? Let’s socialize with other cat lovers and cats in a relaxing atmosphere. This is a great opportunity to socialize your kitties and provide them with stimulation. Wheneverer you arrive, feel free to grab a coffee or sandwhich from Coffee Republic and then meet us at the little park just across the way in King Farms’s Village Center. It is just Northwest of the cafe. Make sure you bring a collar for your cat! A leash/harness, backpack, cat carrier, or stroller is required to make sure our furry friends are safe. All cats should also be up-to-date on their vaccinations. You are welcome to join us if you do not have a cat or want to leave your baby at home to nap 💤 🅿️ Parking: There is plenty of free parking in front of the cafe. Ⓜ️ Metro: The cafe is located a 15-minute walk from the Shady Grove station on the red line.

To support our local animals, please bring a pet food donation and you’ll be entered into a raffle for free tastings and glasses! You can also purchase raffle tickets. Your monetary donations help cover much-needed medical expenses for homeless and at-risk animals. This event will be 5-8pm on the last Friday of every month at the October One Vineyard tasting shop in Downtown Leesburg. This event is free to the public, so stop by and raise a glass. HSLC will be on hand to answer questions and let you know about available animals. Let’s “cheer” up our local area animals in need!

Rockville Vegans will be picking up trash on the outside of Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary as part of their adopt-a-highway program. Poplar will provide all the supplies - gloves, bags, and visibility vests. We will be parking just inside the gate as you enter the farm property.
