Member CZECH STRINGS — a multi-genre DJ with 10+ years of experience — walks You through everything You need to know to make Your first mix. No prior knowledge of DJing, music theory, or equipment is required. Zero. ‍ #### **What the workshop covers:** The session starts with the essentials: what a DJ actually does, what their role is, and how it all comes together. From there, CZECH STRINGS explains the gear using the decks available at the spot as a live example, applicable to any DJ setup You might encounter in the future. ‍ #### **You will learn the core technical skills needed for Your first transition:** \* Beatmatching — how to align two tracks in tempo \* Cueing — how to prepare the next track for a seamless entry \* Track structure and phrasing — understanding how tracks are built so You know when to mix The teaching happens live from behind the DJ decks. You can follow from Your seat or gather around and watch up close. CZECH STRINGS demonstrates everything on Electronic Music, but can switch to any other genre on request. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing.
