Hi Badminton Fans!
Come and join us every Saturday for a fun session of badminton.
**This session is open for lower intermediates and above (no complete beginners allowed).** What that means is that you should have a grasp of doubles gameplay and be comfortable with short serves at minimum.
**What Do You Need**
Don't worry about equipment; racquets and shuttlecocks are provided, and there's no need for a badminton license or insurance. Just bring your indoor sports shoes and a willingness to meet new friends and have lots of fun.
There are changing rooms and showers.
**Get There Early**
Try to get there early to change and warm up so we can start right on time.
**Registration & Payments**
Registration is 12€ per person, and you can sign up via PayPal through this event page. For alternative payments, check for available slots on the event page first. Then, submit your payment via https://revolut.me/nishuastic with a description of which event you are signing up for, and send the screenshot to one of us so that we can add you.
*Please note: If your name is **not** in the attendees list and you do not have confirmation from us, you will be turned away.*
**Annual Membership Option**
For regular players, there is the option to take out an annual membership. This costs 80€ for the first year and is renewable for 40€ each year. This reduces the weekly registration fee to only 10€ per session.
**No Refunds**
In the case of a cancellation or no-show, there are no refunds.

* Yes! We are an international group, and everyone speaks English!
2. Are there still available slots? I can’t sign up! Help!
* Check the bottom of the event page for availabilities. Once full, RSVPs will be closed. Sign up as early as possible because the events fill up very quickly.
3. I signed up, but I can’t make it! Can I get a refund?
* No refunds for cancellations or no-shows. If you inform us early enough, we can try to find a substitute and issue a refund, but no guarantees.
4. Why can’t I get a refund?
* We need a fixed number of participants to maximize court usage, court fees, team arrangements, and team rotations. Cancellations throw all of this off.
5. Do I need to bring anything? Water? Racquets? Birdies?
* If you have your own racquet, that will be best! Otherwise, we have spare ones, and we provide the shuttlecocks. Bring enough water to hydrate yourself.

**This 11 am - Open Session is open to players of all levels, though mainly intermediate players and below.**
**If you are a complete beginner -**

**This session is open to intermediate level players and above ONLY.** What that means is that you should be comfortable with short serves to the T, doubles rotations, and smashes.
There is also an 11 am Open Session for players of all abilities.
If you're unsure of your level, sign up for the 11am session to start or ask us! We will try our utmost to ensure that you play with people of similar levels. As such, we can and will restrict participation at this 12pm session at our discretion.

**PIGD Special Edition at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie:**
*After a session entirely dedicated to selecting the 10 projects that will be presented to a panel of experts, the PIGD meetup invites you to join us all day on Saturday, April 25, for a special event at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie.*
***Note:*** *The list of projects to be presented to the jury in the morning will be announced very soon. All members of the PIGD community are invited to participate in the project presentations and attend the dedicated talk. All game projects that participated in the selection process, as well as other community project teams, will of course be given the opportunity to playtest their games in the afternoon at booths set up by the organizers and meet the visitors at the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie.*
**Preliminary program:**
* **10:00 AM:** Welcome speech and presentation of the meetup for newcomers, as well as upcoming industry events related to video game development: FAJV application deadlines, professional workshops, and video game festivals.
* **10:30 AM:** Expert panel: How to launch your game on the market?
* **11:00 AM:** Presentation of projects selected during the last edition before a panel of publishers.
* **12:30 PM:** Lunch Break: For selected projects, a buffet with the panel, feedback, and recommendations. For all other projects, set up at the booths.
* **1:00 PM:** Start of the PIGD festival with the presentation of all the creators’ games to the visitors at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie (20 booths).
* **3:00 PM:** Public Presentation: “What Is an Independent Video Game?”
* **4:00 PM:** Public lecture: “Music for Video Games” with a presentation of the “Video Games & Music” exhibition
* **4:30 PM:** Video game music quiz featuring the ***Portal Wombat Band***
* **5:00 PM:** Video game concert: ***Portal Wombat Band!!***
* **6:00 PM:** End of the meetup
**IMPORTANT:** The Reset Bar has been hosting us free of charge for over 5 years, **so please show your appreciation by buying a drink, cocktail, beer, or soft drink** when you arrive and during the meetup.
**IMPORTANT: If there are too many applications for booth reservations, priority will be given to projects that participated in the selection process and to usual and regular members of the PIGD.**
*The Cité des Sciences will provide exhibitors with a table, chairs, and a power strip! A very limited number of screens may be available for borrowing (to be confirmed).*
