Are you looking to try out ceramics or up-skill your existing knowledge? Look no further! This workshop is standalone or you can book a block of 4 that need not be consecutive. It takes place in a very spacious and bright studio and you are welcomed to come with your own ideas or simply follow along and let your creativity blossom during the mindful 3 hours of making. The main technique used during the session is hand-building giving you the option to create functional ware or small sculptural work. Beginners will be guided through the process using techniques such as slab building, coiling, pinching, texturing and surface decoration. The more advanced will be free to create and those with experience throwing would be welcomed to use the wheel which would need to be reserved in advance. Those of you who would like to learn about glazing would need to book 2 workshops. The workshops are mainly run in English but I do speak Catalan and Spanish. They also provide a great opportunity for non-native speakers to practice their English. Realizamos Taichi al aire libre aún asi solicitamos que debido al CoViD cada participante decida libremente y se responsabilice de las medidas que desee tomar respecto a la situación sanitaria actual El Taichi es una arte marcial basado en la filosofía taoísta y en su visión del universo, que además de fomentar habilidades marciales, ayuda a mejorar la salud, la conciencia corporal y puede ser un camino para el desarrollo personal y espiritual de los que lo practican. Este arte marcial es diferente a la mayoría de las que podáis conocer. Mientras otras se basan en la fuerza y la potencia el Taichí es una respuesta a la pregunta: ¿Por qué combatir la fuerza bruta con más fuerza cuando es posible aprovechar la de tu adversario? Si estas pinceladas os llaman la atención podéis venir a conocer el Taichi de forma gratuita, cada domingo de manos del Sifu Albert Sala. Las clases son de 9 a 10:30 de la mañana en el parque situado al final del Carrer Lleida delante del recinto llamado “El mercat de les flors” (cerca de las paradas de metro “Plaça Espanya” y “Poble Sec”). This martial art is set apart from the majority of the other ones you may know. Other martial arts are based in strength and muscle power, but Taichi is instead an answer to the question: ¿Why fight strength with strength when you could use their power against them? If these bits have caught your attention you can come to know Taichi for free, all Sundays taught by Sifu Albert Sala. We will make 2 simple yet delicious Vietnamese dishes: summer rolls and steamed banana cake.
