**The Poetic Empowerment Workshop, led by Anniwaa Buchie, invites participants to explore poetry as a space for voice, reflection, and connection. Her creative practice explores themes of identity, migration, memory, and the cultural connections between Africa and Great Britain. Anniwaa stars in the BBC series Phoenix Rise and received an AudioFile Earphones Award for narrating The Teller of Secrets by Bisi Adjapon. Her voice work includes major international productions including Archer and Marvel’s X-Men ’97, while her screen work has appeared on platforms including STARZ. In 2022, she won Best Lead Actor at Australia’s Short + Sweet Film Festival. As the founder and former artistic director of Golden Delilah, Anniwaa championed bold Black female-led storytelling through theatre and performance.
